I know some of us have been stating for a while now that Bradford would declare for the draft, contrary to what SOME would tell you. It's looking more and more like Bradford will put his name in the upcoming draft...

NORMAN — Sam Bradford isn’t shutting the door on the NFL.




The Oklahoma quarterback plans to consider every bit of information available about his NFL Draft prospects before making a decision.

"It’s something me and my dad talked about — in order to make a decision, in order to make the best decision, you need as much information as possible,” Bradford said Tuesday afternoon. "So whether it’s to stay or to go, we’ll see.”

A redshirt sophomore, Bradford would forego two years of eligibility if he decides to leave early.

Having talked to his parents and his position coach, Bradford wants to weigh his options before making his decision.

Bradford’s father, Kent, and Sooner quarterback coach Josh Heupel will take the lead in gathering information from NFL types. They can talk to scouts, coaches, even general managers. Those evaluations will be crucial.

Underclassmen must declare for the draft by Jan. 15.

"It’s going to be a process,” Bradford said. "Even if I think I know what I want to do right now, there’s kind of a need to get as much information as possible so that looking back on this decision years down the road you don’t regret anything because you didn’t go after the information needed to make the right decision.”

I've had this conversation a dozen times outside this forum. In the South 12, the trend is to get the best arm and reader you can, and then put a ****ing brick wall in front of them! You don't think Brown and Stoops spend as much time wooing linemen as they do the "star positions"!?!? You'd be outta' your mind to think otherwise, and it's killing the position of Quarterback in terms of keeping the 12 feasible in the eyes of NFL head-hunters!
I find it funny as **** that Tebow keeps getting these jokes about being a Tight End and what not, when the fact of the matter is that he, Stafford, and Sanchez are the ONLY guys on the current media-spotlight scene who have the frames necessary to NOT GET KILLED IN THE NFL.
Have you ever stood toe to toe with an NFL Linebacker? I have, and let me tell you; Sam Bradford would require a ****ing 6-foot spatula to pull his body and body imprint out of the ground after being plowed by a pro.

Great College fun, great Cinderella Story, but NO GO, NO WAY in the National Football League.

I believe this bears another posting. I was initially hesitant to put this up because of the pick at the end. But if you look closely, you'll see that it's NOT a bad throw or bad work on the part of the receiver; it's just a good Cornerback being "on"( and maybe a little lucky ).

Of special note is the pass at 2:20 and the highlight that follows. Look at that receiver; he doesn't look back and he just trucks to the Northwest pylon with his hands out in front of him, and the ball just lands there like butter!

Look, here's the deal; I get hyped up about defensive players more than anything else. But even I, with my untrained eye can see that this guy HAS SOMETHING.
