I am not the one here citing the made up stat. How about you cite your source good sir. There is NO WAY for you or anyone to know how many times he audibled this year.

you can't pick Chris Johnson with a straight face...only reason they started winning was because of Vince Young...he made Chris Johnson THAT much more potent when the ends had to start respecting Vince Young's legs as well.

Rivers didn't even make the ballot? Damn.

Rivers led the league in Yards per Attempt, 1st Down %, and 20+ Yard Passes.

He didn't have nearly as many attempts as all the other candidates, otherwise I think he would have won it this year.

He was 18th in Attempts.

Schaub 1st
Manning 2nd
Brady 3rd
Rodgers 6th
Favre 8th
Brees 10th

I think drew had it wrapped up til the last 3 games-All losses. Brett came from behind by playing well. The last 6 quarters of play 6 TD's over 500 yards.

last 6 for mangina Zip

last 6 for breeze Zip

Rivers sat the last game too so that might have hurt his chances-but SD had a hell of a year-they man handled people. Hate to say it-but I might have been wrong about Rivers-he had a fantastic year.

Manning or Rivers.

Christ, the Vikings made the playoffs with Tarvaris Jackson at QB last year. Missing Favre means they don't get a bye week.

The Colts missing Manning means they likely don't make the playoffs, and I don't see the Chargers making the playoffs without Rivers, either.

That's why the award is stupid to begin with.

MVP is always going to be a QB, because they play the most important position on the field.

This is what, the 6th time a RB has broken 2000 yards, and he'll probably finish 4th in the voting.

Favre stated in an interview in week 15 that he has only audibled 10 times the entire season. I am saying 15 audibles were made over the entire season. I watched the Vikes this entire season. When it looks like he's audibling he is just pointing out pass protections, whos the blitzing corner, and directing receivers on how far to bend their routes. He did not change an entire play more than 15 times this season. Besides this... Favre has been in the NFL for nearly 20 years. If he feels that he needs to audible, it is probably the correct call.

I agree-johnson had statistically the best year of a RB ever-all purpose yards that is. But the titans missing the playoffs will probably hurt his chances too.

Unless a RB scores 28+ TDs in a season, then they win the MVP, see 2005 - 2006.

that is why he can have fun with his offensive player of the year award...

if the Titans finished 14-2 or at least made the playoffs MAYBE he would have an argument...

Farve would have won it if he hadn't blown the entire month of December (1-3 record, 4 TD, 4 (of his 7 total) INT).

Brees' numbers are comparable to Favre's (actually better than), but they of course collapsed late in the year, as well. And he's nowhere near as high profile.

Indy's last two games don't help Manning, either, obviously, but he probably gets it.

But the media LOVES Favre, so it wouldn't shock me.

Chris Johnson isn't getting it, not on an 8-8 team, 2k yards or no 2k yards.

Ditto for Schaub on a 9-7 squad.
