Now Terrell Suggs taking shots at Tebow and God

I want to preface this by saying that I'm not religious at all even though I was raised Catholic. Haven't seen the inside of a church in many years and don't follow or practice religion. Actually somewhat turned off by it but that's a story for another day.

The thing that is really disturbing to me is why is everyone jumping all over God and Tim Tebow? He isn't the first athlete to invoke or thank God, many players do. He doesn't carry a bible into the huddle or try to convert anyone. He just has a strong belief in his faith just like many other Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Baptists, and Hindu worshipping people yet every week someone who has no relation to the game or the Bronco's comes out with what I believe to be anti-Christian or anti-religion views.

How would he be treated if he was a Muslim or Jewish? I don't think the media or other people would say jack squat. I don't like the double standard...

Yeah, he sucks as a QB but let's use that to judge his performance, not his religion.

Am I wrong or is the bashing of Tebow for his religious views justified or fair?

I agree. It is just offends me as a football fan that shitty football is being celebrated in this fashion.

I agree 100% ... he's not asking the cameras to follow him on the sideline to focus on him doing what he has always done. There's nothing wrong with what he does, what he believes or how he does things. He could be Stevie Johnson and the type of guys that are "me me me" screw the team aspect of this game.

Players that get caught up in this stuff with remarks about religion... it's stupid. Why is a Ravens' player saying anything about a Denver player at this point?

Focus on your bye week...

The shitty football is being questioned week after week, especially in Denver. The only thing that isn't being questioned is the good feeling after the W, no matter how ugly the performance.

As you guys are doing now to Suggs(Applauding him for religous bashing)... What you guys are not noticing is that atheism is a religous choice just as much as christianity is. We choose to follow a god and you do not, simple as that. Do you see christians constantly bashing atheism on forums, "Oh you don't believe in God, you're going to hell!", no you don't. Instead you see insecure athiest everyday talking crap on christians for simply believing in a god. Maybe it's because they know that the christians will not fight back. There's really no use in fighting over that kind of shit on here... your words aren't going to change someones belief over a forum; that's on both sides. What I'm targeting is the plain disrespectfulness of the christian person in general. Wait, If you're atheist answer this question... Why do you even care what other people's beliefs are? All of our meaningless lives are going to end sometime and we will all be non-existant, right?

Sigh. I'm Christian and I see nothing wrong with what Suggs said. Suggs was criticizing Tebow for being a shitty QB.

Yes.

Like I said before I like and respect who Tebow is as a person because he stands up for what he believes in in the face of hatred for it. I don't root for Denver because I'm a KC fan but I can separate the two.

Your defense should be the unquestioned heroes for your late season run, not some FB that is pretending to play professional QB.

The defense, the kicker, and dumb luck are getting every bit of the credit they deserve.

I completely disagree with your characterization of how the different religions are treated around here and meet your Christian victim card with the rolling of my eyes.

You shouldn't credit the Chiefs shittiness, that is something that can be guaranteed. I think I was a serial killer in a past life to reborn as fan of this cursed franchise. I blame my parents.

All religious people have 1 thing in common. They all hold up their victim card and think they're being persecuted due to their faith.
