Football games are long with many chances to alter the outcome. The final score, the standings, the 15 games in a row streak. That doesn’t happen because of a single BS penalty.

And the penalty on Sutton was BS, but regardless, your team lost because it sucks. Chiefs were totally beatable yesterday. Good teams win ugly games. Bad teams find a way to lose.
We have Patrick Mahomes and they don’t.

Our fans are 10000% of this same loser mentality. Just look at the GDT anytime there’s a questionable call that doesn’t go in our favor.

If Mahomes didn’t pull so many rabbits out of a hat, half of CP would be talking about our record ex-officiating.

I can fully understand being apoplectic about the offensive PI call. That was horrible. But the refs are entirely to blame for the RTP situation at the end. Those ****ers whistled Mariota down in that playoff game against the Chiefs in a millisecond. Ridiculous that Wilson gets 2 seconds while in the grasp to potentially just throw a prayer into the air.

Every time I look at the DJ strip sack I honestly think it’s the worst call in any sport I’ve ever observed. I don’t get it.

Yes. It does have to be whistled dead sooner. If the defensive player has the QB in their grasp they need to whistle it dead. If not you put the defense in a huge bind. Throw the QB down it’s a penalty, tackle with body weight it’s a penalty. Hold him and the QB has a chance to break free for a play, hold him and the QB can possibly get the ball off for an incompletion.

2. The incidental touching a helmet or facemask when swiping at the ball should be abolished. This will not cause injury, and again ticky tacky when it determines the outcome of a game.

3. If Jones wasn't trying so hard to NOT tackle Wilson too hard, then he would have never got the pass off. When he had Wilson wrapped up the whistle should have been blown immediatly as a sack. The refs failed and Wilson throws a desperation pass while in the grasp of Jones.

The only one that I can recall that compares was the pass interference no call a few years back with the Rams and Saints.

I hadn't seen that replay of the Jones sack until now, if you notice he has him in the grasp at the 35 and it was around the 29 that Russ tries to get away so he gets body slammed.

That is on the refs for not blowing the whistle while Russ was going back for 6 yds.

The guy got a pass off after being in Jones’s grasp for 3 seconds… if the play isn’t blown dead, the defense has to be given some latitude to make the tackle.

We could go through the horrible missed DPI before the play before Patty was picked in the endzone, or the ridiculous PI call to extend their drive. We could also show blatant holding by their Oline on critical plays that were allowed. So guess what Donk, **** OFF, 15 straight dipshits...
Well, if you were to ask them they would have either missed them or claim they were not penalties. This is why I try me best to not inject my Chiefs bias regarding the refs. I realize that fans always think the refs are against their team and miss calls for the other team. It’s as certain as the sun rising that the refs screwed over the losing team and the winning team’s fans overlook penalties their team committed that weren’t called. Honestly only the OPI on Sutton was one that I really think they messed up on.

We legit have threads on here talking about how specific refs have it out for us.

Exactly. Play should have been, and almost always is, blown dead way before the body slam.

Put yourself in that refs shoes for a minute.

Can you see a scenario whereby you hold your whistle, Jones finishes the play and your first reaction is to reach into your pocket?

Because at that point you KNOW the reason that tackle happened was you not blowing the play dead. You just can't turn around and throw a flag there. It would be such a ridiculous approach to officiating.

It would be akin to not blowing a play dead for offsides, the when the OL tries to block the guy that got an early start and holds him to keep his QB from getting killed, you throw a holding flag on him.

I can't think of a time I've seen that happen. I'm sure it has, but it's just god-awful officiating if/when it does. You can't throw a flag on a play that YOU created.

It would have been a terrible call. You either blow it dead, or let it play out with your flag in your pocket. Thankfully, he let it play out with his flag tucked away firmly.

If I'm remembering correctly, there was another play where the Chiefs had Wilson in their grasp and it should have been blown dead, but wasn't and it allowed him to get rid of the ball.

I don't give a shit if that OPI call was bullshit. There have been plenty of questionable DPI calls against us this year.
