I am good friends with the head of marketing for the Royals, and there were 20k jerseys given out tonight. There were no large ordered. Basically, it was XL for men, M for women, and S for kids.

Well, they won by having a roster of legitimate major league players. And there is a difference between having your home run leaders hitting between 25-35 as the Twins and A's have had the last four years, and no more than 21 (And that was Sweeney) and in most cases no more than 15.

Isn't it amazing what 3 games can do to the masses?

I'm for one more encouraged than anything right now. We're still pitching lights out. Offense is much easier to fix than pitching. Hell, look what the Dbacks did last year. Won their division while being outscored.

The Royals always seem to have trouble with the Twins. Can't complain about 6 solid innings from Tomko, even with the loss.

Hopefully this afternoon won't be Bannister's first rough outting.

The bats will wake up in time. The question is whether the pitching will still be there.
