KCstar.com forum ranking top Chiefs sites

"Rank the Chiefs forums/boards in order of preference. To get things started, I proposed an initial ranking. Please feel free to add additional discussion forums/boards I may have missed. If you would like to share personal experiences such as BANS, suspensions, worst posters/mods or positive interactions, that would be a plus!

1. Kansascity.com
2. Warpaint Illustrated
3. Arrowhead Pride
4. ESPN.com - Kansas City Message Board
5. HomeOfTheChiefs.com
6. Wild Bill's Chiefs Page
7. Chiefs forum - Delphi (Radrhtr)
8. Chiefs Planet
9. ChiefsCoalition
10. Other (list) "

Ouch. This is just a guys opinion though.

HomeoftheChiefs and Wild Bill's Chiefs? REALLY?

I was at WBC a few years back and there just wasn't enough activity. In the year I've been here, I vastly prefer ChiefsPlanet for not just updated Chiefs news, but for the variety and activity.

I'm glad someone posted this list so that I can look for a better forum.

That's pathetic.
Whens the last time the KC Star broke any Chief news? I'm just a fan but, I've broke more news on here than the multi million $ enterprise. They are a pathetic old school paper on its last legs.

Great idea! Let's put up a post on our BB - that only those registered here can provide imput - about what BB is the best.

How about we go stats instead of opinions here. If a board gets 5k posts a day and another gets 50, which do you think is more popular?

Out of those the guy listed, are there any even close to the Planet in posts per day?

Hey, they did post that thread 3 days ago, and have generated, what? 6 responses in those 3 days.

Busy, busy, busy.

How can they keep up?

We ended up with a little over a million posts last year, so our average ppd for the entire year was about 2875. During the season, average went up to more like 3000 per day, and for some reason, January is always one of our busiest months, so we've been even higher than that the past few weeks.

Page views is kind of a weird statistic here since we have people refreshing pages all the time. According to Google Analytics, we've had 2,663,044 page views and 234,620 visits in the past month, but like I said, that probably doesn't mean much. Probably a better stat for us is active users per day. That typically runs around 900 or so.

If you're really curious for other gory details, do a search for my "random chiefsplanet stats" thread. There's lots of info in there. And feel free to ask if there's something else you're curious about. I've always had a "power to the people" mentality around here, so if you want to know some stat, I'll see if I can find it.

i think that is the main appeal i have to this place. i love the chiefs, and love the football discussion here, but for me its about being able to post about my problems with todd haley, and on the same site, bitch about obama. i don't have to go from board to board for different topics. i'll admit, the planet is not for everyone. for example, if you're offended by someone telling you to die in a fire, or run into an aids tree, you probably aren't going to fit in here. i, however, think this site is not only the best chiefs site, but the best site on the whole internet. who ever came up with that list probably has been threatened with anti freeze.

The only reason I put that statement out there was because that seems to be the only real complaint we get from people who don't like the site.
