Petro calls his shot, Romeo "will be" next HC...

He doesn't have any inside info, he's just making his observations...

Romeo will be the HC. Josh McDaniels will be the OC. And here's the best part:

Kyle Orton will be the starter in Miami or Seattle next season. Guess what that infers?

at this point, no one in KC sports media knows any more than what we know...so speculating is pointless and ridiculous.

Personally, I think we should re-sign Bowe and Carr, and then stick the transition tag on Orton.

That way we can wait and see what the market is for Orton, have the right to first refusal, lock up our important players, and then match Orton's offer if it makes smart business sense (and then cut Cassel)...

that's just me though

If we could sign Orton to a 3 year deal (front loaded) that makes him paid as a reasonable backup in year 3 I think it would be a great deal for this organization. Sign him, cut Cassel, draft a prospect, give Orton a year to prove himself while developing a prospect at the same time.

Like I said, at least Orton has REAL QB skills and can operate a REAL NFL offense. I'm all for retaining Orton and drafting a guy in the 1st or 2nd round.

If this team keeps Cassel (and not Orton) as starter next year, I've lost faith in Pioli...unless he lands Luck or RGIII somehow. I don't even care if we take a guy 11/12th overall. I still will have lost faith in Pioli.

I hate the idea of Romeo as HC...but the longer they string this out, it probably means they want to interview an assistant of one of the playoff teams and simply are not sold on Romeo as the only option...let alone best option. So there's that. I'm pessimistic of this being the case...but I have to hold out hope for something that would represent boldness on the part of Clark. And make no mistake...it would take a Clark intervention to get a bold move, because it ain't coming from Pioli.

I don't mind Romeo as HC one bit as long as we get a good offensive coordinator (I'm ok with McDaniels) and let Pioli do his thing.

I mean, we're a QB away from being a great football team. We can give Herm some credit, and Pioli some credit...lets get an offensive coordinator in here, draft a QB (and keep Orton), and let Houston blitz as much as Hali (didn't understand why he wasn't rushing the passer the first half of the season), get Berry back and we're going to have loads of talent...

I'll give all of them a year. Pioli and Crennel can have a year with their dream boy McDaniels. I'll be optimistic. I'll buy into it. They have 1 year, and if it all blows up then **** them all.

The advantage of firing Haley during the season was it was supposed to give the Chiefs a leg up in finding their next HC and allowing that HC to assemble a top-notch staff (which wasn't the case when Haley was hired late in 2009).

We know Fat Scott is a braindead piece of garbage who would prefer to take 7 years to make any decision, but that is not an option now.

Don't kid yourself. Haley was fired because he embarrased Clarky-Boy on national tv

Hate to point it out to you, Professor, but if you project Romeo's record out over the time Fisher was a HC he doesn't fall very short.
