Who are the sucker teams who will trade for a starting QB this offseason?
For once I get to sit back, watch, point, and laugh at the other teams who hinge their immediate futures on unproven backup QBs. Or at least I hope I will. I'm anticipating that Mallett and Cousins will both be traded. You just need a team in a bad enough draft position who's dumb enough to make those deals.

What do you think?

I thought they traded for him. I guess not. Still, there have been several backup QB's over the years traded for by teams other than the Chiefs(Although KC has probably trade for more than any other team). And I agree with afchief on all 3 counts

I've argued for years that he and Brett Favre are the 2 most overrated ever.

That being said, Dalton's small is substantially smaller than Manning's.

Raiders have a team full of marginal WR's and TE's #2's at best and #3s on most good teams...

It's all about to change, with a full slate of picks and plenty money to spend, the Raiders are over the hump and will be a helluva lot better soon...

Laugh and giggle all you want but this game is about money and the Raiders have it now.
The thing about McLovin' is that he's an UDFA. The expectations for him were pretty nonexistent. The guy walked onto Penn State, then somehow wound up walking onto an NFL team where he was brought in to be a camp arm and wound up starting. The kid has moxie, you've gotta give him that. I think his ceiling is a good backup, though frankly he hasn't had the greatest to work with, either. I was shocked, though. He seemed to look like he actually knew what he was doing a lot of times. They need to draft a rookie (hopefully Bridgewater or Manziel) and then sign a vet like Schuab. Pryor is just not the answer...

The Raiders right now remind me of the 2008 Chiefs.

A portion of the fans really love the undrafted guy (Thigpen) while the franchise had just spent a season initially unrolling a plan to investigate the merits of a young middle-round QB. Both QBs seem to be okay depth, but neither should be trusted with a starter's job.

The difference here is the Raiders are in a position to possibly take Bridgewater in the draft. The Chiefs thought Matt Cassel was the best option.

what about the Vikings? they don't have time with AP to develop a rookie do they? Do they chance one of these veterans or proven backups?

Vick to Minnesota? Vick and AP seems likely.

AP is getting up there for a QB. They are in win now mode. Ponder was their attempt at a young QB and he failed. They'll get a vet in there.

Vick isn't even worth a debate, he's trash.

As always, milkman is right about him. He's a running QB he can make plays when a defense is out of position, worried about him taking off. When it comes to actually making plays with his arm in the pocket, he's a complete failure. That's even more true now that he's old.
