What grade would you give Veach?

Veach has been doing a damn good job. And you can tell from the videos inside the draft room that everyone respects him. He looks like a leader. Reid and Spags tell Veach what they want and he will get them!

Hardman replaces Tyreek in the passing game and return game. Would be surprised if he doesn’t get over 1000 Yards next season.

Thornhill is a perfect piece in Spags defense. Can play safety, corner or nickel. He had a first round grade as well. Solid pick up.

Saunders at first I was like why. But after seeing his highlights he is a beast. Athletic as hell. He’s destroying first round O lineman. Will fit in nicely!!

All in all Veach gets a A-. Need to somehow address the corner position but I trust that he has a plan

If he makes a trade for PP, I can see this defense being top 10 next year.

Maybe top 5-7

If teams want to **** with us and play “keep away” by running the ball and killing clock, we have some straight up DOGS out there now to stop the run. I’m thinking Daly is going to have this group as one of the better run defenses in football, fairly quickly.

They just need another LB and a top shelf corner to make the defense complete.

This team has a good chance of winning a Super Bowl.
Running defense has been the Achilles heel of this team for a decade - glad that it ending this year.

Almost every guy they brought in for the front 7 is a really good run defender.

Daly is not only the DL coach, but also the run defense coordinator.

House is a great defensive coach and we’re lucky to have him as a position coach. His unit will get to the ball and make the play.

This run defense is going to be light years better than last year.

Tomorrow a TE, CB and a LB need to be taken. Get some good undrafted FA as well! That’s where I would look for O line depth and some WR. Kemp has got to go. Dieter is basically here for life since he’s Mahomes best bud

I have no ****ing clue because I don't watch college football. I'll just take everyones word for it that it was a good two days. Still **** Tyreek for putting them in the position to use the first 2nd round pick on a WR.

It could be argued that receiver was a need even before that, and perhaps still is. It is not a deep position on the roster, at all, unless one considers unproven, undrafted marginal talent enough, when paired with a number one that missed much of last year, as seems to be the norm for him.

Not to mention we only have one TE of any quality.

Mahomes is amazing, but we need some talent around him. I hope the pendulum hasn't swung too far. Hill was a top-5 receiver trending up before all this. That's most likely impossible to replace. And there was nobody worth a shit behind him. I don't particularly want to be trying to win with defense, not in today's NFL, and that exactly what's going to happen if Kelce or Watkins goes down.

I'm not arguing against any of the moves made, just pointing out that I think we have some holes people don't or didn't recognize. I don't think we can assume the offense is just plug-and-play, that nobody but Pat matters and they'll be awesome no matter what...

Which is why I thought we were likely going receiver day 2 regardless.

I think we needed to draft a WR regardless of the Tyreek situation. We needed a plan for a number 2 receiver, because there’s no way we were going to keep Watkins for the 3rd year of his contract once we paid Hill.

Tyreek being a piece of shit (at worst) and a complete ****ing moron (at best) made wide receiver the top priority.

The linebackers still need some work. Need 2 new ILBs. Or maybe House doesn’t think we need anything and that’s why Veach hasn’t targeted linebackers much.

Wilson-DOD
Ragland-Spaight
Hitchens-Niemann

This CB group needs a top shelf guy to move everyone else down one notch, where they should be much more effective. If Veach can get PP, this group goes from average/below average to top 5-7 in the league.

Ward-Reasor
Breeland-Smith
Fuller-Johnson

This is a nasty safety group with Thornhill opposite Badger. Speed and playmaking ability just oozing from each of them. I genuinely think this will be a top 5 safety tandem in the NFL.

Thornhill-Watts
Badger-Lucas-Sorensen

In short, get us a LEGIT CB1 and MLB and this defense has a chance to be nasty.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these are the starting LBers game one:

DOD
Hitchens
Niemann.
Why do you think Speaks starts over Okafor/Ogbah?

I personally think all the reinforcements at DE this offseason mean Kpass and Speaks are sunk costs but maybe theres something in Speaks I am missing.
