Chiefs I'm not doing too hot - Page 5

I'm not handling this one so well.

This one is shades of 1995 or 1997 for me.

I'm OK with this. I still think we were the better team going in, but the Bungholes quite simply wanted this more. They have not been there since 9 months before I started dating my wife. They wanted it more. I don't think the Chiefs didn't care about this game, but the Bengals WANTED IT MORE. The Chiefs have had so much success the last 4 years, it's hard to sustain.

At the end of the day, I'm a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. I thought we would roll these ****ers, and at the end of the first half I thought this was going to end in a huge double digit Chiefs win. But...it didn't. Why? Because the Bengals simply wanted it more. And they were better than us...today.

I love this team. I got my SB win a couple of seasons ago. We still have the best QB in the game who a week ago was a GOD...today he was human. This is the NFL. You can't win them all.

This team is not your life. It is great to be a fan, but it is NOT your life. Hang in there man. There's ALWAYS next year. Go Chiefs.

Same. This one hurts more than others. With others we had plenty to blame - Brady being an evil darth lord, shitty defenses, Alex Smith being average, Mahomes being green, whatever - this one just. We had no business losing this game. It was ****ING CINCY FOR GODS ****ING SAKE MAN. YOU COULDN'T HAVE GOLDEN WRAPPED AND HANDED A FREE SB GAME TO US BETTER THAN THIS. AND WE BLEW IT?

I don't know man. For the very first time in the Mahomes era it feels like a 'because chiefs' moment. I'm ****ing gutted. There's no one to blame and that is what hurts the most.

NFL teams don't get this lucky man. They don't get 4 AFCC games at home. We got it and all we have is one ring to show for it. I am sad and feel like it's all wasted opportunities.

Playing in 4 straight AFCCG and won two and a SB does cushion the blow enough for me that, although this is a much worse loss than those others from a football perspective, it doesn't come close in terms of the pain. Already past it.

Hope the Bengals take it to the NFC for their fans and our awesome conference!

This one stings and will leave a mark for awhile.

But here’s my approach: if 7 years ago you’d have had a chance to host 4 AFC title games knowing you’d lose two heartbreakers, would you have taken it?

If 8 games into this season you’d been given a chance to be in the afc championship with a chance to win or tie on the final drive, would you have taken it?

That's the thing. I knew we would be in this game. That's amazing. I thought we would be in the SB, but we won't be...but damn. LOOK AT THIS TEAM! Look how far we've come!! We're one of the best teams with the BEST QB, TE and WR in the NFL. Today it didn't work out. But if you are a fan because you expect your team to go to and win the SB every year...you should probably take up another hobby.

I just want to know we have a chance at it. And for the last 4 years, we have. And we will more in the future. We're not the cheating Patriots. We are the Chiefs. We will be a team to be feared for a LONG time. Enjoy that. Go Chiefs.

I pretty much knew it when we gave up a stupid long run for a TD with a minute to go or so in the 2nd;; gave up a TD because, once again, shitty angles and tackling.

then, the way t he 1st half ended.......coulda at least got 3; 3 + giving up points on that long run by the Bengals beforehand.....it was destined to be a **** up.

then after the 3rd qtr had passed, and we had basically like 37 yards of offense in the 3rd.....and squandered like an 18pt advantage...

despite all that....still had a chance. . game was bad from the outset of the 3rd qtr.
