Jenkins is single covered with high leverage on the wr. In the nfl, single coverage with inside leverage is open

One of the biggest problems I have with people who defend Alex for not throwing deep is their perception of said throw.

People think Alex doesn't throw deep because he doesn't want to make a "risky throw." Most of the throws that Alex passes up are only deemed dangerous or risky by the Alex apologists. These throws being passed up are considered wide open to normal NFL QB standards.

We are not asking him to thread a needle 30 yards down field between 2 defenders. Of course I would rather him take a wide open short gain than to do that. But most of the time, we are talking about a WR who has multiple steps on the last defender. Those are NOT risky throws....especially if Alex is as accurate as the Alex fans claim he is.

Ok so if the WRs drop wide open short passes by powder puff league standards, why in the world would you chuck deep passes to those same guys?

Ok you guys are right he's a journeymen and should be utilizing all the all star weapons he has around him on the outside. His WRs are up there with the best of them and he should be ashamed of his production on the field.

He needs to learn to play to make plays.

1) He needs a better O line.
2) He needs better WR's.
3) He needs an OC that doesn't change the identity of the offense every other week.
4) He needs to be more accurate and throw to OPEN WR's beyond 15 yards...

Incredible how much a good OL and capable WR's will help a QB as seen here.

Don't think it's true? Look at the Cowboys this year. They are living proof.

I won't argue with that most of the weapons around are not all stars but does that make him any less a journeyman?

Yes he does not learn to make plays with his arm.

I'm not harping on. I'm trying to have a ****ing conversation about a football play on a football message board. Apparently, if shit isn't assholes and rainbows, I'm a negative shithead who isn't a fan.

Had he made plays earlier in the game, said last 2 minute drive where he was "clutch", wouldn't have had to happen.

Same in the 9er game. and the bronco game. See, games the Chiefs lost because plays weren't made.

How dare there be a football conversation. How dare you not bow down to Alex Smith and kiss his feet.

I can't speak to that, but I haven't seen anything like this in this recent thread.
