Vietnam - Anyone live or vacation there recently?
In a little over 18 months I have the ability to retire.

I have begun evaluating places around the globe to spend my summer months and then return to the Phoenix area for winters.

I would like to rent a place for 5 months from May through end of September.

A place that has really caught my attention for both a great beautiful location and low cost is the seaside town of Nha Trang in Vietnam.

I have also considered the Philippines.

Would love to hear any advice or recommendations.

In all seriousness though, how is 18 not young enough for some of these psychopathic freaks? Been around any 18 year old chicks recently? They seem like twelve year olds. The whole sex-with-minors attraction is hard to even fathom. Wonder why they don’t set up a big sting operation and make a big public scene out of the arrests and trials? That would take a huge bite out of he sex tourism business.

I have a buddy that is returning to Thailand to retire (he worked there for most a decade)...he loved everything about it. Thailand is about 10-15% (?) more expensive than Viet Nam, but still about 40% less than USA. Do a little reasearch...the beaches, weather, festivals, are pretty ideal.
