Favre to the Chiefs!!!!???

What would you think if that unlikely scenerio were to happen?

He'd make the Chiefs a better team for a year or two, ala Joe Montana.

As for me....... no thanks. I'm willing to sink or swim with Croyle. After being a Chiefs fan for 18 years, I'm ready for the youth movement.

Dude, I was agreeing with your take on the state of the team. We are a long way off from filling in one spot and making a run at the AFC title.

In all honestyl the Chiefs run almost the exact same offense now that the Packers do.

But still....no.

I don't see a problem in sitting Rodgers for another year. It's not like it will hurt his development. He's still really young. If Brett can be a prob bowl QB for another year then you have to start Brett Favre. It'd be one thing if Favre was playing like a Rams Joe Namath but he's not. He's still a legitimate top 5 QB in this league. He's been the face of that organization for years. You start Favre and say sorry to Rodgers and let him wait another year. GB owes that to Favre in all he's done for that organization. If Favre is playing like shit and is primarily the reason why GB is losing then you bench him and start Rodgers.

If Rodgers wants to be traded then they trade him. Rodgers showed he can be good so I doubt GB would do something like that though they did draft Brohm.
You know what sucks for the Packers? His contract is up after this year. His entire career he played in one game for millions. I'm sure that adds to the Packs frustration with this whole deal. They still probably aren't 100% in what they have in Rodgers.

The main objective of this season is to once and for all flush the Herm/Dictator Carl mess down the collective toilet. 0-16 is a real possibility and bringing Favre in would ruin that.

I don't think 0-16 is a real possibility. Even the Dolphins won last year.

True, but we do have the team and coaching staff for a legitimate run at perfection.

Keep hope alive Chiefs fans! 0 for 16 can happen in '08!

What did Derrick Thomas do for KC.......or Tony Gonzalez????

Winning the SB is great, but Favre has been one of the faces of the NFL.

Peyton Manning only won a single title. You wanna dog on him too? Newsflash.........Winning the SB in the NFL is a very hard thing to do and many players on get to play in only one of them, maybe perhaps a couple if they are lucky enough.

It would be one thing if Favre wasn't playing at a high level. But he is and just came off of a Pro Bowl season. You don't fix whats not broken. Favre should start in 2008 and if for whatever reason he sucks real bad, then you can bench him for not playing well.

How many players on that team on offense want to see Favre come back. Players bust their asses for players like him.

You really think any player on that team would reject Favre coming back because they think they need to move on?
I think his point is with the fact although he has won a Superbowl it was with way more talent than KC has to offer. He is one of the greats but nobody can argue much of what he has done is regular season for the most part. It will be strange to see him in Miami gear next year.

It was fun watching Harmon Kilibrew in the early 70s on a young Royals team, but they didn't start winning until he was gone. It would be the same with Farve, fun to watch for a year or two then when the team is really ready to make a run it won't have a QB. We saw that act with Schottenhiemer in the 90's, a good team with no QB, so I would rather see a different act this time around.

Develop the young QB while the rest of the team is being rebuilt.

I think that Ron Wolf is the guy responsible for turning that franchise around, and Favre was a large piece of that puzzle, as was Reggie White.

But the fact is, Favre pissed away opportunities with his gunslinger mentality and boneheaded decisions as much as he contributed to the winning.

Fact is, their one SB win he didn't do anything special in that game or the playoffs.

Desmond Howard, White, and that RB (whose name escapes me) who had a remarkable postseason that year every bit as responsible, if not more than Brett favre.

And I thought my disdain for Peyton Manning was pretty well documented around here.

Dorsey Levens. Andre Rison also contributed to the SB win.
