Jason La Canfora Rumors

Just saw on "Around the League" on NFL Network. He's reporting that in addition to Brady Quinn and Shawne Merriman, that Glenn Dorsey could be on the move. He says that the Chiefs coaches are down on him and some teams might be looking to move in for him. Also said that DJ could be had for "the right package." Sorry, no link....just saw it.

Why is it when players drop to the Chiefs we get excited? Using your words best player in the draft DROPS to 5th. The Dolphins and Falcons drafted above us didn't draft Dorsey and made the playoffs. DJ drops to 15 and 7 of the 14 teams that drafted before the Chiefs have made the playoffs since 2005.

I guess all those teams knew a lot more than the Chiefs and most posters on this board.

Vermeil did a pretty decent job of building an offensive juggernaut despite Trinterceptions first season with us and getting lucky on Holmes turning into a stud. Regardless, the biggest question isn't going to be whether or not Edwards and Peterson drafted the right guys. The question is going to be whether or not Pioli and Haley and retrain these players thought processes on how to play fundamental football. Admit it, our coaches have been pure shit! Whether or not they can reverse those minds before they revolt is going to be the true test. It might taking breaking a few of them up to increase our chances of getting the rest to come around and listen.

Miami plays a 3-4, St. Louis had to play a round of golf to decide to take Dorsey or not and the Falcons took the most important position on a football field. If Parcells and Miami werent looking for a Carl Peterson type makeover, Dorsey would be in Atlanta right now.

Dorsey was widely considered to be the best player in that draft.

That doesn't mean, however that you pass on a franchise QB if they are both sitting there, and comparing the Dolphins situation to the Chiefs situation is ****ing moronic.

The Dolphins did exactly the same thing as the 90's Chiefs.

Sign a few veteran free agents, along with an experienced, albeit mediocre QB, play a weak schedule, and Viola! You have a playoff team.

Proceed immediately to your ass kicking in the playoffs.

what would happen if we traded our entire team for draft picks and future considerations? can we forefeit the rest of the season in hopes of cashing in next April? what would the downside be? we'd have lots of cap room. no more "the cupboard was bare" arguments because there wouldnt even BE a cupboard. we'll just treat the chiefs like an expansion team from now on. go for it fellas

Did you even think about what you wrote...."...best player in that draft." and "That doesn't mean, however that you pass on a franchise QB if they are both sitting there,...."

So using your logic who is the best player in the draft? You admit it is the franchise QB, so Dorsey wasn't the best player in the draft.

That is your argument.
