You can complain about Clark Hunt/the Chiefs all you want, but Kareem not being truthful about what happened is why he was released.
This. It's not that hard to understand people.

I agree if that’s true. But we know the NFL and the Ravens lied about that fact in the Ray Rice situation.

You guys are overreacting hard.

Mahomes, Hill, Hunt were all on rookie contracts, the $$ was always going to go to Hill and Nahomes and Hunt was never gonna be re-signed anyway, all this did was expedite things.

We’re an offensive system this year that barely runs the ball, I don’t think Ware is gonna be that much worse at running inside zones and catching untouched slip screens.

The commissioner's exempt list came before KC released him. He wouldnt have been playing for us even if we wanted him to.

WIth the optics of the recent washington signing of reuben foster.....and Ray Rice not being too far in the rear-view mirror, Hunt will NOT play again this year.

The optics would be so insanely negative for the NFL if that were to happen. Especially if it was a week 17 pick up for a playoff team.

NFL will drag this out as long as possible so as to not take away from the playoffs, etc.

Now - was cutting him the smart business decision? I guess time will tell.

But hell, how often does Reid run the ball anyways? Especially in the playoffs!

According to Clark thats what happened. They asked but he left all physical stuff and there was plenty. The kick is what did it. That will put out for the season, no doubt. It has to.

And this is the problem. I've never in my life been more in love and excited about a team as our current Chiefs. I didn't even care if they succeeded this year because the future was so bright! And that's 98pct a function of Mahomes but it's the chemistry everywhere. The team was finding its rhythm, Veach was veaching, even Clark Hunt was playing the role of benevolent owner.

And then this. Cut. Immediately. When they almost certainly had the evidence months ago.

I think we have depth at RB to carry the load, but this completely overwhelms any Berry comeback factor.

For those who don't know. Kareem Hunt was by far the most friendly player on the team. Throughout the game he was looking into the stands, trying to get the fans hyped up, trying to be a cheerleader. He had such energy. This is more than just replacing a RB. This is a major gut punch chemistry-wise for a long time. He was unique on this team.

Kareem Hunt made a series of poor choices, chose not to walk away from the situation, put his hands on a woman, then lied about it instead of taking responsibility. This is 100% his fault. People need to quit acting like Hunt is the victim here.

He was going to be suspended for a long time either way. We’ll be fine.
This right here. Kareem wasn't playing the rest of this year. Getting pissed at Clark IMHO is wrong headed. Sure Kareem may get signed by another team but he ain't playing.

The NFL placed Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list earlier Friday night, meaning if another team does sign him, he can't play in or attend games until the investigation is over and a decision on potential discipline is made. He would not count against the team's 53-man roster.

We saw the part of the video that shows the skirmish between Hunt and the whorish gold-digger, but I'd like to see the ten minutes before that. You know the video exists.

This is a dumb and rash move by the Chiefs to punish a dumb and rash move by a rookie player. Hunt had a temper and he screwed up, but the Chiefs overreacted to an unbelievable degree. Just dumb.

I hate this whole "women are sacred creatures" thing now. There are some evil women in the world and this one is clearly one of them. She tried to cause trouble and she got it, and now she's being treated like a victim. She was the instigator.

I agree with Twisted Chief. Don't believe for a minute they were all taken aback at the "revelation" that KHunt put his hands on and kicked the drunk skank. I don't care if she called him the N word times infinity. You don't get into that situation. The Chiefs with their secret police had to know about the video. They only pled "Kareem Lied" after it became public and it was clear Kareem was the aggressor. Chunt, Reid and Veatch are all covering their collective asses here. The Chiefs look either A) Incompetent in their vetting of this situation since last February, or B) Only took action on the matter once forced by TMZ and the NFL.

KHunt is an idoit for getting in that situation in the first place. Where's the fall guy in his entourage? Looks like he may have alcohol/anger issues. And if he did lie to Chiefs officials about his involvement, that's all on him.
t
CHunt, Reid and Veatch could have at least slept on this for 24 hours before kicking KHunt off the team for good. The NFL wasn't going to let him play in another game this year, so it would have been just like the Chargers losing Gordon for the rest of the year. It would have been just like a lost for the season injury. He does community service, he apologizes to anyone and everyone, he comes to Jesus and swears of drinking, whatever; but he's back in the backfield next year. Now, he'll probably end up with the Pats, or Steelers, or Raiders, or Denver, and we'll probably get NO compensation because we outright cut him.

And now a run for the Super Bowl is in question, because there goes your running game in January for the Playoffs.

Another stunning failure.
Another disappointment.
Because Chiefs.
Yeah. This is 100% CYA with the public.

If the chiefs didn’t do their due diligence and just believed Hunt, they are dumb as hell.

If they did their due diligence and hoped it would blow over they are chicken shit.

Terrible look for the Chiefs.
