Eh, don't care either way. But hard to see how this plays in the Chiefs favor on the field though. Rams became legitimate NFC SB contenders today and don't have to spend their 23rd pick on a CB like they were planning to. Good for them, good for LA.

If they didn't get a 1st this year there was no reason to trade him now. Why not wait until closer to the league year? It only saves 1.3 mill in cap space. Why not see if any teams have interest once free agency begins unless you get blown away by an offer?

They had to trade Smith for the cap space. They can always trade Peters a month from now.

If the Chiefs didn't get the 23 plus additional compensation out of this trade, this is ****ing maddening.

To a degree, yes. But coaching can only take you so far. Reid generally handles this aspect of coaching pretty well. If he couldn’t make it work, some other coach might for a couple of years but it will probably fall to pieces for them too.

I believe that in the modern era a coach/manager has to at least be proficient in the Phil Jackson model.

Assemble the most talented players possible, and harness their ids and egos. The scheme and execution will flow from the talent level.

Peters is one of those guys who wouldnt think twice about sitting out the first ten games... or if he did decide to play, how can anyone guarantee he wouldnt half ass around and/or get himself suspended with some kind of BS?

LA has some great story lines in the making next year. Ohtani with the Angels, Rams continued success, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball with the Lakers. Probably pretty exciting time to be a LA sports fan.

Not a fan of the lack of tackling and other stupid shit.

But fully agree with the throwing of the flag. Any one of us would have done the same thing to prove the officiating in the NFL is shit. It means players know it is shit too.
