Such a smart little deal. Saves the Vikings a few bucks. Chiefs get a guy with upside.

So his prorated bonus is against the Vikes cap? His base salary was 1.8/m which is ours , only 600k guaranteed so we're on the hook for very little

On phone otherwise I’d embed

The #Chiefs have a fun looking young group of cornerbacks right now.

Charvarius Ward - 24 years old
Deandre Baker - 23 years old
L'Jarius Sneed - 24 years old
Mike Hughes - 24 years old
Rashad Fenton - 24 years old
BoPete Keyes - 23 years old

(I think these are correct)

seems like a fine deal, low risk. Contract year so he'll want to play real good.

Heard on the radio Patrick Petersons 8mil cap is higher than all of the Chiefs cornerbacks combined. That's crazy.

So they got him for nothing and that's fine but the guy appears to be a broke dick. The ACL can be overlooked - it happens but I had forgotten about the broken neck. A broken neck for a CB is not a good thing at all. I wonder what he has left to offer. The trade for a late rounder is one hell of a gamble (being positive) - I hope it pays off and Spags can get him on point. Fingers crossed!

Low risk move, why not. If it works out, it’s a steal. If not, meh, cut him and move on.

That’s now two former first round CB’s we’ve traded for in last 2 years. Hopefully one of those two ‘hit’ and figure it out.

At least with Hughes, he should have some value as a returner if the CB thing doesn’t work out.

We’ll see, I guess . . . . .

No idea who Mike Hughes is and I don't watch enough Vikings games to form an opinion.

I've given Bart Vouch my general power of attorney, so it should go without saying that I trust him wholeheartedly to make this move.

Moving up a few spots from the 7th to 6th round is how title teams are built.

Emmanuel Ogbah and Taco Charlton were pretty useless too early in their careers.

Until they joined the Chiefs under Steve Spagnuolo’s defense. We’re OK taking a swing here.
