What was the story in the Browns/Texans game anyway? On paper that's a pretty scary defense Stroud completely dismantled. Was there some injury or something?

That Browns defense apparently gave up 30 ppg in road games. They got torched by the likes of Gardner Minshew. But they were extremely dominant in their home stadium. It seems like a lot of teams around the league are radically different in their home stadium compared to road games.

Interestingly enough, I think the Chiefs might be a slightly better team on the road than they are at Arrowhead. Some of their ugliest performances through the years have been in the home stadium, including that dumpster fire game against the Raiders on Christmas Day. A lot of the time it feels like KC is more focused in road games.

Just watched the highlights. Browns defense looked ****ing horrendous. Doesn't tell the story of the whole game but most of the scores I saw were just outright blown coverages.

Yep, they were very bad on defense. Stroud and his OC both had A+ quality performances. On top of that, Flacco had back to back Pick 6's to send the scoreboard from a 24-14 game to a 38-14 game in the blink of an eye. Game over, lol

Furious George had a stellar game tonight. This defense is such a privilege to watch.

Offensive line had an awesome game. Taylor gets picked on a lot but Mahomes had a ton of time time set his feet and throw strikes. Man this is fun.

The offense has FINALLY broken out of it's identity crisis. This is a rugged unit first. When they set the tone with physicality FIRST then everything else opens up. For much of the season it relied on finesse and it simply wasn't working.

Now the Chiefs know what they must to. You punch these guys in the mouth FIRST and then you blow past them with Rice and Kelce. It's style they truly haven't been able to play since Kareem Hunt left but they have it now and it took a FULL SEASON to figure it out (plus the emergence of Rice.)

This is the Super Bowl formula the Chiefs have been saving back all year. You can't play this style for 17 games, it takes too much out of the team.

With extra rest coming now and a bye before the Super Bowl there no holding back.

Welcome to Playoff football, boys!! This is the REAL Chiefs!

I was worried after the Tyreek TD, but when we went up 16-7 and the Dolphins immediately punted, the game started to feel like one of those old Patriots playoff games.

They wouldn't be particularly dominant on offense, but they wouldn't make mistakes, and their defense just allowed them to glacially move towards victory as slowly as possible, just leaning on the opponent play after play until the weight eventually became too much to bear....and sometime early in the 4th, the opponent usually cracked.

That's the team we are now. If we get out to an early lead, you're fighting an uphill battle the whole way. A 10-point deficit will feel like 21 with the way the defense makes you earn every yard.

It's always been hard to beat the Patrick Mahomes Chiefs. And when we don't beat ourselves this year, it's maybe even harder.

If this team doesn't turn the ball over, the defense is good enough to win it all.

We definitely could.

I still think a lot of luck will be involved, but if they can continue to avoid massive mistakes/turnovers and just get some points on the board so the Defense can carry them to victory, anything is possible.

I'll watch the replay and get my answer but...

Pat seemed to be under a TON of pressure against a team with literally off the street pass rushers.

What was going on?

Vic brought 5+ early and often because he KNEW they couldnt get home rushing 4. It is why Rice was running free all night.

I would be more confident if they finished drives tonight which they didn't. If they score 21 they have a chance against any with this defense. I think the lack of a #2 WR really showed again tonight

Between the Bills, Texans, and Ravens I'd take the Bills. They got a BS win against in the regular season and the Chiefs are going to into that game laser focused and look for a dawg fight.

Oh, Josh Allen is soft too. He's going to get crushed behind that shaky OL.

The only pressure I saw was from blitzes.

Their 4 man wasn't getting there.

Against the blitzes Pat hung in there and found the open man or it was incomplete.

I think it was deep into the 3rd maybe early 4th they showed a graphic he only had like 6 hurries. The question is probably unanswered until we played a team that doesn't have a bunch of street free agents playing DE. With that said Smith looked like a clear upgrade over Morris
