Jeremy Fowler broke the rumor. So there is some credibility I guess. Not as trustworthy as Schefter maybe, but not a hack.


Personally, I don't think Andy's as disappointed in Gabbert's/Buechele's in the last preseason game as Fowler seems to think. I mean, I guess it's possible, but I just don't believe it, fwiw.

I’ll take Fowler over Florio regarding any breaking news about the Chiefs. Florio generally chronicles stories that other people break. As unlikely as it may seem on the surface, anything is possible with the genius of Brett Veach & Andy Reid. Time will tell on this rumor.

The thought is really intriguing. I don’t have a lot of faith in gabbert or buechele showed he’s still a work in progress at best. Wentz knows this offense cold and even if he’s not a good starter he’d still be a great backup. But there’s something about him where he doesn’t seem to get along with anybody. Henne was an awesome teammate and gabbert seems to play the part too. Plus they’ve already gave gabbert a good contract.
