Comparing Travon Walker, Aiden Hutchinson, and George Karlaftis 2/3 thru Season 2
Hmmm...looks like Brett Veach just crushed round 1. Not only is McDuffie a shutdown corner with 5 FF and an excellent pressure rate as a blitzer, George Karlaftis (taken pick 30) is outperforming Travon Walker and Aiden Hutchinson, who went 1 and 2 overall.
Karlaftis' sack on Sunday gives him a team-leading 8.0. Travon Walker with the Jags has 4.5, while Detroit's Hutchinson has 5.5. Further, Walker cant claim to be the focus of Olines bc his veteran teammate Josh Allen (the DE) has 12. Bart Vitch clowned then all when you throw in round 2 safety Bryan Cook, the 2 day 3 corners (Joshua Williams, Jaylon Watson), the rather useful round 3 lb Leo Chenal, and add in Pacheco. He looks to have missed with Skyy Moore, but that's kinda nitpicking a great draft. Last edited by JohnnyV13; 11-27-2023 at 02:06 PM.. |

It’s hard to say given talent around them and scheme and everything… but as great as Aidan Hutchinson has been that defense is a pass funnel. I think their DC is over his skis. But we got real good value in karlaftis for where we drafted

Mcduffie and Karlaftis in the same draft are two really good cornerstones. Both of them seem to have excellent attitudes and football IQ as well.

Hutchinson is a ****ing beast. 63 pressures so far this season. Walker has 36 and Karlaftis has 47 for comparison. Jaguars ****ed up BADLY and the Chiefs got a damn good one in Karlaftis at 30.

If the Lions weren't ****ing stupid and just stayed at 6 and drafted Carter they'd have among the best young duos on the DL in the entire league.

Hutchinson is better than Karlaftis. Don't kid yourself.
But Karlaftis is probably better than Walker, and we got him at 30. He's only 22 years old and he's really ****ing good. |

Not counting Mahomes, is that going to be the best round of any draft that the Chiefs have had?
We probably got 2 Ring of Honor players.

I'd take Hutchinson over Karlaftis, but I'd take Hutch over almost anyone.
Karlaftis is projecting very nicely for a second year passrusher taken 30 overall. |
