That's a hell of a course correction.
Overall I like it. I'm not sure about both Brown AND Mooney. But I certainly like either. I'd be leaning towards keeping Tranquill. I feel like this plan would be great for '24, but leave us in a pickle re-signing Bolton or Creed in '25. |

I like it as well, other than Murray who I am not a fan of. I would much rather have Gay or Tranquill back than Murray, and its not even close.
I agree with Chris that 2 veteran WRs might be a bit of an over correction, but I would be excited to watch that offense so I am not really sure that's a complaint. If they were adding two veteran pass catchers on offense, I think I like 1 TE and 1 WR, how would you feel about Schultz instead of Brown or Mooney and then a 1st round WR? I'd probably also bring Fortson back and carry 4 tight ends, but that is nit picking |

Love the plan but would try to keep Tranquill at that price rather than jumping in on Murray.

I'm useless at cap stuff but I really like this. You've gone absolutely nuclear on the WR room and DT, and still kept Sneed. That would be a pretty great outcome, in my mind I was letting Sneed walk. Loads of deadwood has been cut too.
I'm not a big fan of Mooney, and I wasn't expecting a TE in R1. I'd still probably just go with Brown and a R1 WR. But actually I like your approach. If we upgraded at WR AND TE that'd be pretty damn solid. I might go for different guys at DT but again I like finally having some depth there. My obsession is getting in Maurice Hurst. LT looks sketchy but hard to cover. Yeah, I really like all this. |

Love mocks.
Wasn't expecting 2 vet WRs, but that'd be exciting! If we're spending ~$26m/yr on incoming WRs, I'd wonder what we could've done spending that on a true #1 like (Evans or Adams?) on a 4-yr deal and a RD 1 WR (Coleman or Franklin) on a 5-yr rookie deal. But Pat likes to spread it around so this could work well for us. Significant improvement all around at WR, congrats! Would Rice really be our #1 if we brought in Brown? Like others, I'd be partial to keeping Tranquil. How do you see Omenihu working into this rotation, noticed he's not a starter and you're keeping him outside? Love the draft! Top 5 picks are very solid, really like Sanders, Hall, and Nelson. Sanders would be a nice pickup with Kelce to coach him up, heir to the TE#1 position but a lethal weapon as TE#2 moving forward. Reid would have a lot of fun with two stud TEs. Couldn't find much on your last two picks, maybe you can fill us in on those guys? Last edited by Couch-Potato; 12-17-2023 at 02:25 PM.. |

Did you see Mooney's game-losing drop today? He'd fit right in.

I'd rather give Mahomes a Mike Evans than Brown and Mooney.
Frankly, so long as Travis is on the roster we don't have a targets justify spending money of two FA WR. The Reid and Mahomes are basically giving Rice the number of targets we have given Hill in the past. And I'm all for that. I think the problem with the approach this season is that the only way you are going to develop someone is you get them targets. If I'm spending FA money on a WR, it needs to be a guy who Mahomes will target 130 times. Thats Evans. Rice has 75 targets now, that can and should continue to grow. At 31, I don't think Evans is going to break the bank, which is perfect for the Chiefs. |

Would be a really solid 3rd WR, though, as long as he's not too expensive. Last edited by Couch-Potato; 12-17-2023 at 07:45 PM.. |

Rice is going to be the #1. Surround him with speed and get another developmental guy. That's what I think should be a priority. Polk can develop and make Mooney expendable after 1 season if you need to. Skyy and Toney can be return guys so the choice is to keep them on rookie deals.
Ja'Tavion Sanders runs like a WR and can learn a year behind Kelce. Kenneth Murray is a lot better coverage LB than Gay or Tranquill and that's my interest there. Hell, he's just a better LB period. Someone asked about the last 2 guys. Brennan Jackson is an older propect, 24 iirc and just finished his masters. He flies off the ball though and gets alot of pressures and has good sacks. If you can get him later like that becaue he's older, he's a win in my book. You don't need those guys to be guys you draft for 10 years. You need those guys to contribute. I think he can. Croskey-Merritt is the best RB you never heard of. LoL. Kids great in pass pro and he's a great runner. He didn't get many opportunities to catch passes, though he's more than capable, because he was always kept in to help protect their shit QB. |

I'd rather keep Gay at this point. He's playing well and I think there's something to the fact of the mentality he brings to the team.
