Well, we'll see how much Dallas learned from their spanking last year. Apparently, if the Portland series is any indication, very little. Still, I give the Mavs enough respect to split the first two in Dallas (likely winning Game 2) and then possibly winning Game 4 to regain homecourt and make the series 2-2. From there, the Kings will take them out in 6, but I can see the series end with the Kings advancing to the Western Conference Finals in 5.

What a year for poor Rick Fox

First, he gets KO'd by Christie (which, by the way, has been the only thing Christie actually connected on all year). Now, he's out the year and possibly next year with the foot problem.

Well, they do say things come in 3's. There's 2 right there.... maybe ol' Rick needs to pay attention to the lust Vanessa has in her eyes for Jim Jackson, like Toni Braxton once did....

I'm not exactly a Spurs fan... but, you have to like Duncan. He stayed his full term in college, plays a solid game, overall good guy and his team is 1 up on the Lakers.

I'm anxiously awaiting the Mavericks/Kings series - THAT will be some exciting basketball.

Fox is the heart of the Lakers and their key defensive specialist. Now that he is out the Lakers are toast. I don't see them getting past the Spurs or even pushing the series to 6 games.

I would love to see the Mavs win a 6 game series with the Kings, but if they win it ... I see a 7 game series. The Mavs will need that many simply b/c of the lack of a big man.

If the Mavs can win, I'd love to see an all-Texas Western Final.

I doubt the Mavs can pull it off though. That Portland series took a lot out of them.

Well, the only way the Mavs would play the lakers if for the Mavs to beat the Kings and the Lakers to beat the Spurs.

I don't see any way in hell the Mavs beat the Lakers, ever. Thankfully for them, they may not have to worry about it.

First Fox goes down and then George? That really sucks because we have nobody to play forward now. Kobe will have to play out of position now and that dramastically lowers the chances for a repeat. The look on Phil's face said it all when George didn't get up. This really sucks.

I see all the Lakerhaters are stoked.
