Time to head back for the 2nd half. No matter what happens, to quote Arnold... "I'll be back"

The Kings season may have went out the window. Webber is gonna have an MRI on the knee, he didn't look good. Jackson looks like he may miss some games due to an eye socket bruise or something. Oh well, the Kings don't know how to win anyway.

What is beautiful is the hatred eminating from the posters each time the Staples Crew approaches the brink of elimination. Last time I checked, all the Spurs did was hold Home Court. The Spurs did the same thing to the Lakers that those Cuban Cigars are doing tonight to the Farmers. (uh, minus the NBA record 83 points they hung on the DEFENSELESS Kings?) The Boot Accessorizors played completely out of their minds these first two games and will win the series if they keep jacking up 55% on their shots. But like the T-Cubs, they will start to feel the noose getting tighter as the clinching games approach. (Kings fans know all about CLINCHING games, right?) ![]() I look for the Lakers to re-group and come away with a 6-7 point victory in Game #3. All of a sudden it is 1-2 and the MVPs start shivering. The Lakers will then pull out Game #4 on Sunday to tie it up at 2 with a HUGE game in Texas for Game #5. This is where the series will be decided. Given the Zenmasters ability to outcoach MVP Greg, don't be surprised when the short-handed Champs rip the Accessorizors hearts out.

Boy, that was fun....
![]() Dallas played a game that would have beaten just about anyone. I got to give them a lot of credit for not just the offensive fireworks they showed for 48 minutes, but the passion they had. It was the classic "we're sick and tired of being dominated... let's do something about it" And did something about it they did. Nowitski got them going, Van Exel just buried us and it got very contagious. Nelson has to get credit here as the unsung star of the game. To try something new at this stage of the playoffs takes guts and going small made the game a frantic pace that the Mavs play best at. Moreover, Divac has killed the Mavs inside and the lineup made Divac very ineffective, especially in that a lot of the offense runs through him. What Dallas did was historic. Whether this totally turned the series around in Dallas' favor we'll find out in Game 3. I know this. Sacramento's got a good home court too. As long as they don't lose at home, Dallas can enjoy their Game 2 performance but we'll move on. Make no mistake though. Dallas made a big statement tonight and it really was "it's about time we really have a rivalry here". Because until tonight, Kings dominated. Now, the Mavs finally have confidence. What hurts most is the injuries. Losing Webber or Bobby Jackson we can overcome. Losing both... really levels the playing field and that might just have happened. Still, the one thing the Kings always have had in their favor is their great depth. No Webber means we'll see a lot of Turkoglu. No Jackson means Bibby will need to play 40+ minutes and need to wake the f up... as he becomes the most important player on the Kings team.. again. Not surprised Dallas won. Very surprised how easy it was but sometimes a team gets in the zone and the emotion produces is just overwhelming. Kudos to them... Arco awaits.

When the Kings finally do make it to the Finals and are in position to clinch the title, Webber will call timeout with no timeouts remaining. Very ironic.

This is so predictable. You pulled a Clark Kent/Superman, my friend. Show up on the scene only when the ball bounces your way, but never when it doesn't. Make no mistake. Had the Kings won tonight, you'd be waiting it out, but that's cool. Realize this. I had to call out the Lakers fans last night. This thread was languishing somewhere in Page 8 and most of y'all were conveniently commenting on other topics. My guys got severely beaten tonight, caned, whipped, royally f'd up, much worse than you guys and I have the balls to get in here and face the music. What's more. Some of you have QUIT on your team... your 3-peating team that ISN'T on the brink of elimination.

Big friggen deal, you made a post after you got slaughtered, congratulations. You want a fan of the year award because you can take lumps. It's called reality and I'm sorry if your world doesn't allow reality to set in. Reality is that I've watched three Laker championship teams the last three years and this team doesn't even come close to last years team and couldn't shine the shoes of the teams in 2001 and 2000. I said two months ago that I just felt the Lakers weren't good enough this year to repeat. Winning back to back championships is hard enough, winning four in a row is a damn miracle. When every one in the west gets better and you stay the same year in and year out, it eventually catches up with you. I haven't quit on this team, I have become realistic about their chances this year. This is not the same Lakers team and I can recognize that. I think San Antonio is the better team this year. They obviously have the Lakers number by beating them six times in a row. I will still watch the game tomorrow night and root for the Lakers. But I realize it will take a miracle for them to come back and win 4 of the next 5 against a team that has their number. Again, I apologize for allowing reality to set in.

Fair enough, Bad Guy. Personally, I'd keep believing until the ride ends (especially when you have Shaq and Kobe), but we have a difference in opinion... understood and respected.

Speaking of rescuing this thread.......
![]() Page 1 when the Lakers get stomped, Page 7 when they win. Where's Adam when you need to be saved? What a difference a few nights make between the fortunes of the Kings and Lakers, huh? As "predicted" yesterday in a prior thread (ask Adam for the exact quotation), the Lake Show came out on a mission and throttled the Boot Accessorizors. Hell, even the #1 Laker Fan was ready to take out a "Few Good Men" (i.e. the refs) with his "You can't handle the truth" as they attempted to kick him off the court. Speaking of "The Shining".... Where did Bowen, Gianoble, and Parker go last night? All that strutting in Game #2 is out the window. Talk about deer in the headlights expressions. As now we have the Kings debacle. (BTW, where is Adam's comments about CWebb being OFFICIALLY out for the year?) I guess the only lumps he is willing to take are those phony losses to the Greybeards and Cigars that mean nothing until the Conference Finals where they will meet a REAL team. Break out the Grape Kool-Aid farmers. Your Title hopes just went crashing to the floor with that phantom ACL. Oh that's right, the Kings have so much "depth" they will overcome losing their ONLY inside presence. This injury don't mean "Jack" (not Nicholson) against the defenseless Cuban Cigars. But how are you going to contain Big Daddy or the Twin Towers in the Finals? Scott Pollard? Keon Clark? The Bearded Fish? ![]() But enough about those pretending pseudo Champs in Cowtown. The NBA Championship is being played this week and I look for the soon to be 4-time Champs to even the series going back to Texas. Game #5 will be H-U-G-E It's all good in Lakerland...... ![]()
