Care to elaborate on your frustration with the NFL?

The game just isn't as fun as it used to be. QB's matter WAY too much, penalties are called inconsistently, reviews are so ticky tack that we're literally deciding things by a blade of grass sometimes, etc. They've over-regulated the game to the point that it's just obnoxious.

Yeah, I can see that. The NFL and its attempts to stave off future head trauma lawsuits has definitely taken an element away from the game that people were drawn to. Penalties are a big gripe of mine, as well.

I've given up buying my tickets for Arrowhead. That playoff loss to the Ravens just crushed me, utterly. I vowed not to buy tickets again until those jamokes could find a way to advance in the playoffs. I figure I've saved upwards of 10 grand when you factor in tailgating expenses with the tickets.

That.

I could really give a shit about the NFL any more. The Chiefs are really the only reason I watch. I rarely watch the afternoon games, and probably watched 2 national games last year. NFL is over-saturated big time.

I'm the opposite. I took the money I'd typically spend in a sports bar or dicking around on game day and bought season tickets last year / this year. Best decision ever. Big game coming up that I don't wanna miss? Great, I already have tickets. Can't make it to a game? Great, I'll sell my tickets for damn near the full season price on stubhub.

People say the game experience at the stadium is better.

Maybe a few moments, but overall a big screen at home with unlimited snacks is way better IMO. Maybe I am just burned out with the whole stadium experience.

Tailgating is the tops for me. It is still a blast when the crowd is in full throat and the place is rocking, though, but overall I'm with you. Beer's cheaper at home, and the pisser is about ten feet away from my recliner.

It's a 3 hour commitment instead of 10, and I can turn the TV off if the team goes full Herm or Pioli.

Yeah and you can piss, get something to drink, and maybe a snack and be watching the game between commercials. At the stadium that just took a half hour and you missed something.

I'm with DaFace, it's just not what it used to be... the NFL is so much about money and catering to the casual fan, it's too watered down for me to spend over $100 and most of a Sunday on it. It's the Bud Light of sports.

90 minutes with a DVR, even though RedZone helps a ton during live games.

Most times I start the Game on the DVR when it's about an hour into it live (if that makes sense). too many commercials. score / commercial / kickoff / commercial/ punt / commercial / 2 minute warning (which is the dumbest thing is sports) / commercial

it's no wonder the NFL loves offense/scoring. more commercials.

We saw a group some years ago at Arrowhead that had the perfect idea for MNF.They loaded up a truck with one of the guy's living rooms,I'm talking lamps rugs, big screen and all and had everything set-up outside the stadium with a generator running it.Add some good food and a keg and a group of friends and they had quite a party.
