The patriots D was ranked 6th best in the league. 49ers D backfield is awful!!! We are gonna shred them to pieces. Not worried at all.

The 49ers have one thing that the Pats didn't......team speed. Our CBs are going to have to step it up because the 49ers won't be coming in with only 3 WRs like the Pats did.

It will be key that we can run the ball against a much more physical defensive front.

Chief 31
49ers 27 Chiefs get 17 points off of turn overs Bold prediction: Its not really a close game as 49ers get points in garbage time at the end of the game. |

This is going to end well for you.
Alex Smith will play better than your scrub qb. It's going to come down to which team runs the ball better.

From CBS Sports
Kansas City (2-2) at San Francisco (2-2), 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS): If Alex Smith owns a calendar -- and I bet he does because he seems like a well-organized guy -- I'm sure he's had this game circled on it since the NFL schedule was unveiled last April. Smith lost the 49ers starting quarterback job to Colin Kaepernick in 2012 after suffering a concussion. Then Jim Harbaugh shipped him off to Kansas City, where Smith has been plotting his revenge for the past two years. It's a safe bet that Harbaugh's also been planning a revenge for Smith's revenge though, and I'm going to have to give Harbaugh the advantage here. The 49ers coach got rid of Smith for a reason and one of those reasons is because Smith was Captain Checkdown. I'm betting the 49ers devise a defensive gameplan that forces Smith to check down 47 times in this game. That will be one check down too many. 49ers 34-31 over Chiefs. |

Prior to the Pats game I was very concerned about the SF game. After seeing our offense against the Pats, I'm a little more encouraged on that end.
My concern still lies with the run game. I'm still worried about Muaga and JMJ in the middle of the field. I think Gore and Hyde are going to give the Chiefs fits. Also, this defense struggles with mobile qb's, so I'm worried about Kap in that aspect as well. |
