This.

Different actors - same story...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Gets criticized for not running Charles enough.

Runs Charles more - rip off like 3 wins straight.

Face toughest competition in a CRITICAL game.

Decides to run Charles 10 times.

Gets ass kicked at home.

....Great plan bud!

KC only ran about 40 plays on offense.
0 Carries in the 4th quarter because down 2 scores.

This past game was not getting too clever going zig zig zig because nobody would expect that.

And it's not like KC has a dominant run game. They have a HOF back.
To make it work Reid and co have to think up ways to cheat and steal some openings for Jamaal to run through.

Do you think they want to spend time doing this? No. But they have to because the OL sucks.
If KC had a decent OL you would have to reason not to expect Jamaal to be fed the ball in big games.

He did get a decent portion of the plays early in the game and 10 for 35 yards isn't good.

Honest question: is Jamaal already a HOF back? If his career ended today does he get in?
