Reggie Wayne is 46 years old. In 15 starts with Andrew Luck throwing him passes in an aerial offense, he posted 779 yards and 2 TDs. He's 6' and shy of 200 lbs so you know he isn't going to be winning contested jump balls that Alex doesn't throw. At 62 years of age he's probably not even as fast as Bowe currently.

If he were in KC last year he'd have posted something dismal like 400 yards and probably 0 TDs.

You could probably add Cam Newton to the list as well.

Thank you OTWP58 for basically writing what I was planning on writing.....

To add to that, statistically, on average a turnover is worth -3.5 points. A touchdown is worth at minimum +6. This is not to mention that the -3.5 point average comes from all NFL teams. Some NFL teams have terrible defenses. We do not.

KC's defense dropped so many INTs last season...it cost them at least two games. The Raiders one stands out...The Kelce fumble stands out too against the Cardinals. People can blame Smith all they want but the Chiefs should have been 11-5 last season.

In most cases, everyone must share some blame in losses for one reason or another. It's almost as if it is.. a TEAM game or something.. imagine that.

Sometimes, it is just the lazy way for the agenda driven to blame one player though.. a player they have had a petty grudge against since his arrival. They bash from day 1... and then act outraged that this player can not save the team from their many flaws. Ironic, to say the least.

Well, prior to 2013, KC was a clear bottom-feeder team that most were snickering at. Since this QB's arrival, the Chiefs have now become a consecutive, winning team. They are again relevant.. and even in losses, tend to put up a good fight. That is a pride that means something to most fans and players.. even if some here at CP can only pout about not being the very best.

One needs not be an expert in all things KC prior to 2013.

They were a bottom-feeder team, just as their 2-14 record clearly shows.

So I won't stop. Now kindly toddle off and GFY, asshole.

I've been watching this team forever...KC had a dominant offense in the Vermeil era..but the defense was putrid. It is a TEAM effort...and this is becoming a balanced one. Probably my favorite roster in a long time... Dorsey has done a good job.

It's the most balanced team we've had in a long time.

The OL and WR's (and QB, honestly) aren't where I'd like them to be but they should be better. There's a big difference between competent/average and piss ****ing poor...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

We drafted a guy in the third that's very similar to Flowers in almost everything.

Fighter, smaller, good ball skills, physical with good instincts.

If you miss Flowers, you'll be a big fan of Nelson.
