B) No one likes A-Rod.
C) Even if Morales is, in your opinion, only the fourth best DH in the league with a month until the All-Star Game, why does that mean he doesn't even deserve a "sniff," as the author of the previous post declared? Should only the top 3 choices of Hamas Jenkins and CoMoChief deserve to sniff the delicious scent of All-Star glory?

It's not debatable at all. They have all been significantly more productive than Morales, as has Prince Fielder.

There's no other LF or CF I'd rather have in the game playing defense than Gordon or Cain. Same goes w/ Escobar at SS or Perez behind the plate. Those guys are legit.

Davis and Holland are also deserving. That's 6 players who are deserving. I'm not sure what the Royals are supposed to do...hate the voting process not the players who are in it. If people don't like it get out and vote against them I guess. I'm sure they'll change the rules after this season.

I like to look at it as, the Royals get to play for their HFA in the World Series.
Royals fans shouldn't give any shits if a Royal deserves the ASG or not, just vote them all in already

The butt hurt is strong in this one. News flash: the best players never seem to start the All-Star game besides the few elites: Trout, Harper, Stanton..

Just got to this and I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! How many times have large market had their players go because, well, they're from a large market team.

I'll say this, it's about time.

Prince Fielder is classified as a 1B in the All-Star voting, so that's a moot point.

The ONLY DH that is having a better season in the AL than Morales is Cruz. But they will both be there with Morales winning the vote and Cruz getting the selection. If so many people are so upset by Cruz not starting over Morales, then perhaps they should take matters into their own hands, get on-line and vote more?

I'm fairly certain the fanbases for 14 other AL clubs could unite and 'outvote' the Royals fanbase if they really wanted to. But it would seem they don't care enough to do just that, being as we are where we are.

It's more fun to sit around and bitch about it on-line and curse the system that allowed it to happen.

Okay I'll admit, I've been a bit arrogant with respect to saying that Donaldson is better than Moustakas defensively. Statistically, they're actually pretty similar.

But there are certain things you can't put a stat on when evaluating players defensively. Like for example, who is the better athlete? Who has better mobility to move around from side to side and can cover more range around the corners and in between the bases? Who has greater leaping ability? Who can transition the ball better from glove to throwing hand? Who has better hip movement? Who is better at anticipation and timing plays or reacting where the ball is going to be or go?

You can't put stats on these things. But I'll just say this, Donaldson wasn't a natural third basemen. Remember, he was drafted as a catcher. Had he started as a natural at third base, he'd probably be more ahead defensively today.

Both Donaldson and Moose will be at the All-Star game regardless. They are the two best All-around 3B in the AL this year. Both deserve it.

Yes, Donaldson is having a better year statistically and 'deserves' to start over Moose, but that is not how the starters are determined. It is a fan vote. They determine the starters. And apparently the fans want to see Moose starting?

If that's not the case, I suggest all of Donaldson's fans (and anyone else, for that matter) get busy and start voting for him.
