Complete players manager, no doubt. I am sure he helps immensely with the chemistry inside of that clubhouse.

There's a reason he gives some dumb ****ing answers to the press when asked about his players. He isn't going to turn his back on anyone, especially not to the media. This has hurt him in some occasions, maybe, but no doubt that it has a big impact inside of the clubhouse.

I think, as a whole, managers (especially in the AL) are overrated by fans. I think it's hilarious when the manager is the first person that is blamed for anything. I don't think that a manager himself has much to do with the outcome of many games, but that's my opinion solely. I am more of a "blame the players" guy.

DM grew up a Royals fan so I am sure he'll take a hometown discount, I doubt he wants to go anywhere else. I still need to dive into his book.
