One could only hope that Alex11 is going to start using all the weapons instead of having WRs just run for a living. He has to learn utilize all the weapons on the field to win the tight ones. If he doesn't then let him become a $17M bench warmer. Hopefully Mahomes instills the confidence in him to do so and the training Mahomes receives makes him ready to take over as needed.

Curious question. With all the kneeling going on during the national anthem has anyone noticed any Chiefs players taking a knee. I have yet to see one.

Ridiculously excited to see Mahomes grow into being that star QB we've always wanted. To know that what we're seeing now could be with us for the next decade and then some....man, it feels awesome.
...but for this year, it's Alex's team. |

Not to wish injury upon him but knowing that any instant *snap* his collarbone breaks from being sacked by a massive DL and all his weight lands on him what a shame that would be. On the plus side that could be the moment Patrick Mahomes II takes the field and we never look back. Again not wishing any injury upon Alex Smitty but if his head bounces off the turf like it did in Indy last year he could get a non-concussion and not return again for several games, and in the mean time we get to watch Patrick Mahomes II score deep balls to Tyreek Hill. Heaven forbid anything tragic happen to Alex Smitty like he gets turf toe when scrambling out of bounds instead of throwing to the open guy.

No, we dont...NFL giving KC 6 national broadcasts means they are out of the doghouse.
Chiefs never had Charles for any post-season games (Reid)...they didn't have Ware/Charles for the NE game. Houston has only been truly healthy for the first half of the Colts game. Maclin was out for the Patriots game too..their entire run defense was on IR against the Steelers. If people are being honest..the only play-off game where the Chiefs were reasonably healthy was against the Texans... and they won 30-0. (Yeah, Hoyer sucks...but they still won their division and were at home. Blanking them is not something that should be marginalized.) They lost the other 3 by a combined 10 points... Health is going to be the key...as with every other team. Last edited by BlackOp; 08-22-2017 at 02:01 AM.. |

the stars are aligned, oddly enough in the year that alex is qb, not mahomes. i say kc wins it all, alex is signed by the giants due to 'the current' streak being broken, and the chiefs don't miss a beat? ![]() |

Nearly 40% of KC's season will be nationally televised...usually they get 2 games, tops. When did the Chiefs turn into the Cowboys? Something is weird... Last edited by BlackOp; 08-22-2017 at 02:13 AM.. |

Your Jedi speak doesn't work on me. It is depressing to watch another season the Chiefs trot out Alex Smitty no way around that. Fans will want to go to games in hopes that game is the game Patrick Mahomes II takes the field. They will also go to games because they are indeed fans of the Kansas City Chiefs. We got our asses kicked in prime time by the same team that beat us in the playoffs. Chiefs will be back in the dog house if they let that kind of thing happen again on prime time and it wont be a good look. Alex Smitty doesn't win us games he lets the defense and ST do it then takes all the credit. He doesn't throw to guys on the field if it is risky because he is selfish in regards doesn't want to tarnish his reputation in not throwing many interceptions so he can't take the blame for losses. At that note he doesn't propel the team for wins he just lets the wins fall in place as they happen. In playoffs he doesn't propel this team to win because he does the safe way that works for him over the season but that does not work well in the playoffs. That's the gist on Alex Smitty he is selfish that he doesn't give his teammates a chance to win the game by taking a chance down field.
