The older someone gets, the more conservative they are.

They don't believe in throwing people under the bus even when they deserve it. Hell, for the most part I'm the same way. That said, I've known for years that until the Chiefs change the way they look at the QB position they will continue to fail. Really hoping their (the chiefs) "risk" is our reward.

EDIT

It still wouldn't shock me to see this team stick with Alex next year. They truly are dumb enough to do it.

Even if for any strange reason Mahomes isn't what we wanted, at least it's a start, and hopefully this retread QB BS is done for a very long time.

JFC Alex.

Clean pocket... nearly ever receiver breaks open on that play. His pocket awareness is such garbage.

I'm guessing it goes something like this.

"OK Alex...you had DAT here on the deep route...also had some time to find Kareem on the wheel. Uh...good job avoiding pressure...but next time keep your head up."

"Yup. I see it. We'll hit that this week. Thanks coach."

"OK, next play..."

Here's another good example of Alex not keeping his head up when he's running. Kelce is open here. Alex doesn't care.

I legimitaely think that the first pass that Smith missed short to Kelce.....it killed any confidence in his arm.

The All 22 shot of Alex Smith missing a wide open Charcandrick West for a TD.

If you have time to throw this ball to Harris, you got time to hit West. You just had no idea he was going to break open because YOU CAN'T READ DEFENSES.

Eh, don't think this one's that bad. Harris looks to be the primary read, and he's open - just a shitty pass.

I don’t mind the pass to Harris. If the ****ing reerun could actually throw him a catchable ball. West would have been faster to the end zone though.
