Sure, he was massively disruptive in the passing game, but teams also ran right at him.

Houston has a solid all-around game, and I've seen him take over games with a pass rush as well.

I feel like our interior OL gets pushed around nearly every game. We've had maybe one or two good interior linemen since Reid showed up and yet we still win a lot of games.

I’m almost inclined to give Will Shields a spot. I know he was a guard and had a negligible effect on wins/losses while he was here but ****ing shit his resume is impressive as shit.

Dude went to 12 Pro Bowls, 2 time first team All-Pro, won a Walter Payton Man of the year award, didn’t miss a single game in his entire career, played at a high level legitimately from start to finish, did a shit ton in the community, etc.

He really embodies those midwestern values and he was a damned good player.

It wasn't a negligible effect, though. Those offensive lines are what made those teams. There's a reason there were so many 'standout' RBs behind those lines.

I know, but he was only one of five and a guard. Is there a less impactful position on offense or defense that's less important than OG? Aside from fullback I just don't know.
