I know the odds are kind of in the ball park of getting hit by lighting while having a three way with three Victory Secret Models in your Mom's basement then being crushed by a meteor but I've spent more than $10 in less productive ways.
I wonder how much your odds improve by purchasing 5 tries as opposed to 1 try? Percentage wise I mean.

Your odds stay the same per ticket.

The odds of winning are slim. For the Mega Millions, they're 1 in 302,575,350. For Powerball, the odds are 1 in 292,201,338.

You will have 5 chances over 1 chance- but each ticket is the same odds. Your odds don't go up by buying more tickets.

Probability seems like a real bitch for most people's brains.

But 1 ticket vs 10 doesn't really increase your odds.

I amazes me that people still don't understand probability and odds in very simple forms.

But 1 ticket. Save the rest for something else.

I meeaaaann... TECHNICALLY, it does increase your odds. The increased odds are still so infinitesimal, it doesn't really matter, though.

Buying 10 tickets instead of 1 ticket does increase your odds. Each ticket has the same odds but overall your chances improved.

But, This ^^^^, infinitesimal. Just buy one and hope. Dont spend "real" money on these odds.

Was in a gas station getting some water and these people who looked like they didn't have a ****ing nickel were buying $10-$20 worth of tickets.
