Nope. But I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once.

I met this awesome dude named Tom Turbotax...he did my taxes for $49! All I did was supply my documents and answer his questions. He did the rest!

I've seen how that is working out. Somehow, all of the republicans got massive tax cuts and all of the democrats got massive tax hikes! How strange is that?!!?!?

NO, NO, NO, NO. Everyone is getting smaller refunds and are mad as hell this year because the tax cut only went to the rich Republicans. Just because the IRS adjusted the withholding tables so that practically everyone got an extra $20 or $50 in their paycheck during the year and didn't give Uncle Sam a big interest-free loan during the year to get back as a refund check means that all us "middle class" got screwed on the tax cuts.
But to answer your question I have had someone do mine ever since I got an IRS letter saying "we'll let you do it this way this year because it doesn't say you can't" but next year you will do "x, y and z".

Seriously though, did anyone get a Federal tax hike? Lots of blue states with tax increases on that level though. Just saw a deal on Connecticut passing another one.

I shouldn't have to subsidize another state project. P.S. a big tax return isn't a good thing people... XD |

haven't gotten all my corporate paperwork to file yet, but anecdtoally I've heard a couple of people who had abnormal swings in going from a refund previously to owing a fair amount with little to no other change in status.
My check went up minimally with the new withholding, so I'm curious to see if I go from a small refund to owing a chunk.

I am in a very small subset that got hosed by the age change. For almost any other family, the increased amount of the child tax credit (even if for one less year of a child's life) is a net gain over time. It was just bad timing for me because of the ages of my kids. |

They’ve been using that write off as a crutch for years. I can’t believe it when people are surprised about their return. Shouldn’t they have that figured out as the year rolls on? |
