Cause at this point.....he's damaged goods. Have no idea why he was signed. Concussion history, two fractures on the same leg, and didn't really make good decisions when returning kicks!

He knows the system? Big deal.....are the young guys reeruned or something? They can't learn the system?

Hope I'm wrong but I really don't see the value in DAT. We didn't even miss him last year!

It really means they think the current young group of WR's wouldn't be good at being gunners, that and because DAT has done it before they feel more comfortable with him.

This isn't a development year for the Chiefs.

Then keep Tremon Smith returning kicks. Reid is gonna release Smith to get picked up by another team. Then DAT is gonna get hurt again and we're out Smith. There's not enough in DAT to justify his signing, IMO.

Tremon made good decisions returning kicks last year......and isn't as brittle as DAT.

Bad move....

Tremon Smith isn't good at any position though...like if he could be a gunner sure but he doesn't do that.

Tremon Smith is the slowest fast guy I have ever seen.

He is supposed to have a great 40 time, but he never runs away from anyone in the open field. That long return he had last year would have been a TD with DAT in the open field. Now, maybe DAT doesn't get to the open field, but imagine Tyreek on that same play. Neither Tyreek or DAT are getting run down from behind in the open field on a kickoff return.

In fairness to him, I think I remember his saying he slowed up (which is an entirely separate issue). If you watch the video, you can see he lost track of one of the Patriots players as the guy had veered off the field onto the sideline and then came back to chase him down.

I think he looks a lot more like a 4.3 guy than Knile Davis looked like a 4.37 guy, though I am setting the bar pretty low with that comparison.

Foolish comment.

Devin McCourty chased him down and he is one of the fastest guys in the league. He is ranked #2 fastest guy in NFL, one spot AHEAD of Tyreek.

That is not a list of the fastest players in the NFL. Do you think Hill would have been run down from behind on that play?

Last year Dave Toub said that Tremon Smith was the second fastest player on the team, only behind Hill, obviously. Have you ever watched Smith run, and thought wow, he's almost as fast as Tyreek Hill? If you did you are stupid.

Every year is a development year for wide receivers. They take awhile to get going so you have to continually work guys through your system as backups to see if they pop and become something special.
