If that's C2, isn't Breeland supposed to pass that guy off or is he supposed to keep dropping? **** if I remember.

The first one Thornhill just guessed wrong I think.

Hard to keep track of shit like that sometimes.

Is that 2nd play more of a cover 3 over?

Eh, **** if I know. It doesn't look like a strict cover 2 because Breeland is getting deeper in his drop than I would generally expect from a cover 2. Cover 3 over makes more sense because he takes him into his deep 1/3 with the help over the top to pick up.

But terminology changes around so much that I could've just mangled the hell out of that. Coverage has gotten a lot more complicated in response to RPOs and option routes than I've ever had any kind of coaching in. A lot of it's gotten over my head at this point.

It looks like Fuller drops into a pure cover 2 half the field safety so I'm guessing it's some kind of cover 2? I dunno.

But the LB was obviously out there, Breelend keeps dropping and it's a pick.

They seemed to be dead set on jumping short routes and he got them with a few deep ones.

On the last one the inside guys guys are in man and the outside db’s are in zone in the flats. The slot receiver held the fuller from getting the boundary sooner. It ended up being the perfect play call and Menshew got it off just in time. Breeland should have done better and played it more like man before breaking off, he gave away his coverage from the snap by eyeing the qb and not even trying to act like he was gonna stay with wr.
Ward timed his blitz well but he just isn’t fast enough.
