Saw an article listing reasons that the Chiefs would suffer a hangover.

One of the reasons was because Allegretti was a starter. lolwut?

Sounds like a well-written, thoroughly researched piece of literature.

Analysis like that is on par with Stephen A Smith saying that Derrick Johnson vs Hunter Henry was the key to our 2018 matchup.

We'd be chasing a 3-peat this year if not for a coin toss.

Doubt it. Usually it's related to personnel, and I can't remember any team heading into a season as defending champion half as intact as this one.

I don't see the Ravens doing much. That option running attack won't work for a second year, with defensive coaches having time to study the all 22. So unless Lamar Jackson suddenly turns into a competent passer, they're probably back to the pack.

And the Chiefs are potentially a better team in 2020 than they were in 2019. It'll be a disappointment if they don't get the 1 seed, and if they host another Championship, they're in the Superbowl again.

This. I don’t root for players to get worn down from hits early in their careers, but Jackson is on that trajectory. He already has the two seasons with the highest rushes by a QB...in 2 years as a starter.

The first lower leg injury will happen before long. It’ll snowball from there.

Unless Jackson transitions into Wilson or Mahomes, he’ll have a short run.

I’m struggling to think of any guys that were mediocre passers that become elite level passers.

No hangover for the Chiefs; the biggest difference between the Chiefs and Patriots is that the West is much stronger than the Least. Each team in the West has improved and are familiar with the Chiefs. The Chargers were the most competitive and are loaded on defense with a lot of young players.

None of the teams in the West are as good as the Chiefs however the division isn't a pushover.
