This is an exercise in futility.

The days of signing big time FA’s for lots of money are over.

Once they lock Jones and Pat up, going forward, they will need to focus on retaining their own key guys, draft well, and sign bargain FA’s on a short 1 or 2 year deals who want to come play with Pat and Andy for a chance at a ring.

That’s where we’re at now.

With the contracts of Pat, Jones, Clark & Tyreek on the books, we won’t be seeing any big time FA signings in KC for several years.

And that’s just fine with me. Those RARELY work out anyway.

Here’s to a new era.

Did Smith-Shuster also have a TE who caught 100 balls for 1200 yards and a WR who caught 60 balls for 850 yds on the field with him last year?

Because Sammy Watkins did...
