Florio might be a jerk, but he’s right about one thing. If KC ever starts playing their A game on a consistent basis, they have the ability to win games by 50. Even the game Monday night was not a true “A” game. Special teams was basically a disaster with 11-point swing in favor of Baltimore.

I think it’s part of Reid’s play calling. Mundane plays for few yards to set the defense later

They'll never win a game by 50.

Ultimately if Andy is up 17, he stops showing any cards. Thompson fumbling that ball didn't really matter a ton, but by letting the Ravens get within a score, Andy went ahead and played that tackle-eligible card he'd been sitting on for a couple years.

Granted, he'll probably be able to draw something up off of that play (that's what makes him so remarkable, the ability to blow someone's mind and then use THAT to blow their mind again down the road), but you still hate seeing something like that get used in a game that should've been a massacre.

If Reid needs to keep scoring, he'll keep scoring. But if he gets up 3 scores, he's going to stop doing anything exotic that would put concepts on tape for opposing coaches to dissect.

Unless they're just playing some sad-sack team that can get beat by a 'base' gameplan because they're just being physically abused (i.e. the Jets), they'll put it in cruise and coast to a 17-24 lead even on their best days.

We could have run the ball to the left on that play and walked in. Zero issue having that on tape.

Used against the Ravens on national TV is what I liked most about it.

Very true with Andy’s mentality. He’s not a ‘Run Up The Score’ kind of guy, especially not against one of his former assistants like Harbaugh. Same thing with Nagy last year. Chiefs dominated the Bears, but you could tell Andy was holding back.

Play calling at the end of the half suggests otherwise. Mecole catches that TD and complaints of running the score up becomes a real thing

No one would have considered that running up the score.

It was still the first half and the Ravens have a pretty high-scoring offense. They may not be built to throw the ball a ton and come from behind, but no one would be surprised if they could cut down a 24 point deficit once they got rolling.

Shit, a fumble here, missed kick there, and a failed 4th down conversion and we saw they were able to close it within a TD at one point.

I don't believe anyone in the history of the NFL has ever been accused of 'running up the score' for scoring a TD in the first half.

If you can get a coup de gras in the first half before the opponent has a chance to make adjustments, you do it. You smother that shit in the womb if you can.
