Oh I agree. Cats all have their very own personality. It's why I like them more than dogs. All of my mom's cats like to play with the mouse before murdering it though.

Years ago I lived in an apartment in an old building in Chicago. We had a serious mouse problem. Little bastards were everywhere, and traps proved ineffective.
Then, we got a cat. The morning after we got her, I was walking through the dining room and saw something on the floor, grayish, slick looking, about the size of my thumb. It was a dead mouse. The cat had chewed the mouse's legs off and skinned it. Skinned it like a hunter. Never did find the missing fur. Maybe she ate it, and left the carcass as a gift to me/warning to others. She was sitting about three feet away from her prize with what I could only describe as a satisfied look on her face, as if she was saying "you won't be seeing any more of those ****ers." And we never did. |

Same here. I had a box in the garage the cat was staring down into so I knew there was something in there. She reached in with one paw and started diggin and all of a sudden a mouse came flying out and ran under the truck with the cat in hot pursuit. 10 seconds later she came out from under the truck with the mouse in her mouth. She ran back over to the box and dropped it in and sat down waiting for it to happen again.

Don't use sticky traps, unless you feel like dropping a cinder block on a squealing mouse that's starving to death.

We had a mouse infestation until we got the house repainted and holes patched. Set this up.

Try a snap trap or make your own trap.
Put some peanut butter on the middle of pvc pipe and smear a little bit on the ramp. Also add about 5 or 6 inches of water in the bucket. Best mouse trap I've ever used and easy to make.

I've used these twice with great success. Especially if your woman is squeamish.

I drown them. It's more humane than letting the little fella starve on the trap. Snap traps don't always kill them immediately either. There really isn't a perfect method of getting rid of them without a bit of suffering. If the suffering bothers you then cats are the last method you want to use. Cats can torture them for up to an hour.
