Bells has gotten better lately. He's a slippery runner up the middle and usually falls forward like Marcus Allen used to.

CEH is still better but it's good to see Bell improving. He may have gotten out of shape in New York.

He posted this after the game. Is he unhappy about his role?

No, he clarified that his tweet wasn't about playing time. I think it's more about pulling out a win after that many turnovers. He seems happy we won.

Imagine playing in some shit hole where turnovers, incompetence, and all around complete failure is a regular occurrence on your way to getting your ass kicked every single week. Now imagine landing in some mystical land where 3 turnovers and several miscues are mere speed bumps on your way to kicking the shit out of your opponent, all while still collecting checks from the land of dumpster fire.

He probably thinks it's all a dream and he'll wake up back in Loserville when the alarm goes off.

He was never a burner. IIRC, he ran something like a 4.6 40.

No one said he was, but either his quicks are shot or he's over thinking it

His best play of the night was acting as a rolling bodyguard on a Mahomes rollout to the right

Bell’s running style of patiently navigating through defenders is tough behind this offensive line which is arguably one of the worst run blocking o-lines in the league currently.

Either you have to have the speed to hit a rare opening quickly or the physicality to break through defenders... Bell lacks both of these characteristics at this stage of his career.

Bell is fine. He's doing what they want and doing it well. If anything we don't use him enough in short yardage. Put in Sherm to block and give it to Bell.

In limited snaps bell had 2 carries for 21 yards and 2 catches for 14 yards on 3 targets. He seemed fine to me though he does have his hesitate then hit the hole style.

He hasn't made a huge impact, but he is contributing. I think he is worth every penny the Jets are paying him.

You know things are good when people are complaining about the playing time of our veteran-minimum backup RB, a former top 3 RB in the league, after we win a game on the road with 4 turnovers against an 8-4 team.

My favorite thing about him (and Clyde) is that they're great at ball security. I never worry about those guys fumbling. I wish they were faster and had some more big play potential, but they churn out tough yards and don't cough up the ball. We can let Mahomes and our other weapons make the big plays. Those guys are really valuable as reliable chain-movers.

They’d be a lot more effective if our run blocking wasn’t bottom 3.

Agreed. That’s why I don’t give them too much grief.

Clyde does an incredible job of churning out extra yardage after contact. Bell’s hesitation kind of annoys me, but he does a decent job with what he’s given.

I imagine the way CEH and Bell are used in the offense will look much different once the regular season is complete
