Should I take it?

And I need a multivitamin to offset my frozen burrito diet. Recommendations?

If someone put a gun to my head and said take three supplements or I'll blow your brains out, that would be one of the three. If you are on a statin AND are having muscle aches, it MAY help with the muscle aches. Otherwise its just a waste of time and money, just like the other 25 supplements you gullible lunatics take.

When I first became a patient. he took Statins out of my regiment, added clean food, veggies., and vitamins.

My point is, a healthy diet is obvious for most patients.
The majority of people know how to eat, but have barriers that make it difficult to do so.

Also, there are patient who are recommended to have a statin regardless of their LDL levels.

I was told by my Dr that good food is expensive right up front.

Organific chicken isn't expensive when bought whole. I didn't buy organic beef yet organic pork is cheap in IN.

When I was losing weight, it seemed like it was expensive to buy any of the right food but found it not so bad if controlled portions.

After I was back to goal weight, I eat everything, organic or not, but I eat 75% veggies and fruit but never skimp on the vitamins

I'd be interested to hear what he has to say. Keep in mind, CoQ10 has data (mixed) for its use in patients with heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction. I see it more commonly recommended for this indication.

a simple Google search will show you a lot of literature (American college of cardiology, American heart association)

Statins completely ****ed up my body, from my hip joints to the massive calf pain in the middle of the night to jacking up my liver enzymes to overall lethargy.

I tried every brand of CoQ10, Glucosamine & Chondroitin and every other supplement out there in order to relieve the pain, none of which worked.

I stopped taking it 10 years ago and would never advise anyone to take it, especially when like me, there is absolutely zero family history, going back at least 4 generations, of stroke or heart disease.

You had a bad experience, so you would not advise anyone to ever take it?

Millions of people take statins daily, and reduce their risk of heart attack and stroke.

Do some people have side effects and have to stop them? Absolutely.

Pretty much every diabetic is recommended to take a statin, regardless of their family history

Statins completely ****ed up my father when he was alive as well. I won't take them.
