I don't quite understand how the defense is so monumentally awful this season. I mean, they weren't that good last year or the year before, but they were a lot better than whatever this shit is. Going into this season with the addition of Bolton, Reed, and a healthy Thornhill, I actually expected them to be a top 10-15 defense this year. How foolish I was to think that...

In defense of this trash defense - the offense was probably worse tonight.

It was laughably inept from about the 3rd play of the game (Robinson holding penalty) forward.

To many of the same guys and the guys they chose to be cornerstones are complacent because they've won and been paid.

They’ve gotten old and complacent rather quickly. Time to change up the roster.

When you pay guys who have both their money and their championship, this happens sometimes. It is why the Patriots were constantly a revolving door during that dynasty apart from a few critical players.

I think EB is calling the plays. They showed Andy right after a play, and it looked like he wasn't calling plays.

That's probably why we're getting those shitty first down runs.

Thornhill showed a LOT of promise before his injury.

What happened?

Which is a fixable problem. In fact, I don’t know why he’s getting so many snaps now.

I'm pretty sure he could give up 5 straight 50+ yard completions and he'd still be playing every snap.

That, therein, lies the problem.

This has been on-going since last season.

Hell, he got burned the hell out in the first half, and who did I see starting in the 3rd quarter?

Yep. The problem is not going to get fixed until the COACHING STAFF DECIDES TO BALL THE **** UP AND PUT HIM ON THE BENCH WHERE HE BELONGS!

Maybe it takes a game or two like this to force their hand. Spags isn’t going to allow Sorenson to get him fired.
