I get where people like MV are coming from, yes absolutely Hitch played a steady role in some great years

But this year has thus far been well below standards, and he shares plenty of blame in that... what was that stat the other day, something like Bolton had 15 tackles in one game, to Hitch' 16 all season?

The best teams are rarely sentimental, its a cutthroat business by nature

At this point Hitchens needs to be worked in around Bolton, not the other way around IMO

Oh I was being completely sarcastic. Lol It was a play on Hitchens’ instagram comment about the fans not appreciating them.

I do appreciate you being so kind while probably thinking I was a dumbass. LOL

I’m team Bolton all the way!

Spags has been awful this year. Thanks for the ring Spags, but you are fired.

It's not Spags fault. Andy is the HC and in charge. It's his fault for not telling Spags it's time to get Ben and Dan much smaller roles.

Spags keeps putting Dirty Dan on their fastest receiver, when he should not even be on the field.

Why is Andy allowing it? HE'S THE HC! It's on him.

Honestly, Spags has been awful since the day he got here. His incompetence was masked by being slightly less incompetent than Bob Sutton.

Spags is a walking example of The Peter Principle, and to a lesser degree, he is a walking example of the illusory superiority aspect of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

I can't explain how Spags ended up with 3 rings as a DC, but my eyes, and the statistics, tell me he is very bad at his job.

"I can't explain how Spags ended up with 3 rings as a DC." It helps to have two future HOF QBs.

As far as I know, Spags only has 2 rings as DC, right?

2007 with Giants and 2019 with us.

2011 Giants he was either about to get fired by the Rams or Saints, I don't remember but he wasn't on that 2nd Giants team that beat Brady.

Spags has been lucky to be on the sideline for those 2 wins.

To put it in perspective, Greg Robinson has 2 SB rings as a DC, too. He can thank the NFL for not having replay in 1997, and then Terrell Davis in 1998 for those rings, because that dude was total ASS as a DC.

I fixed your post for you.

Nothing I've seen from Spags has convinced me that he's slightly better than anyone at anything. I've seen Sutton defenses rank at or near the top in several categories through the years...

IIRC, Spags coached the single worst defense in modern history with the Saints, and is working on breaking that record with this defense in 2021.

**** him. He's not a better DC than my grandma, and she's ****ing DEAD.

You do realize that his defenses in 2019 and 2020 ranked #7 and #11 in points allowed, right? And this season, despite the horrid start, is actually at #27 now.

Look, I'm not going to defend his decisions this year. I agree that Sorenson should never see the field again and that Bolton and Gay should get a lot more PT than Hitchens and Neiman. Still, let's at least be real here.

Spags racist. There’s no other explanation for him playing Sorenson and Nieman so much. Benching a much better Bolton for Hitchens just reinforces it.
