He smooths out the red carpet for the opposing running back to ream our ass for 7 yds a carry.

I'm a hell of a lot better at it than Hitchens is at playing linebacker!

It’s also a reflection on Andy Reid.

It’s crazy how he can be so competent designing and offense and coaching quarterbacks and so inckmpetent in other areas.

It’s almost like an idiot savant who are geniuses at one thing and devoid of awareness in others.

Reid is just as much to blame as spags

I don't think anyone is advocating playing Niemann over either Bolton or Gay in a 3 LB set. He does cover a little better than Bolton right now. My personal opinion is in a 3 LB set, it should be Bolton, Gay, and Niemann.

People only think this because Niemann is 220 pounds.

His coverage stats vs Bolton.

325 snaps, 85% cmp pct, 193 yds allowed, 11.4 yd/comp, 1 TD

758 snaps, 79% cmp pct, 242 yds allowed, 11 yd/comp, 0 TD

Niemann is 233 lbs according to the Chiefs website. https://www.chiefs.com/team/players-roster/ben-niemann/

He also had a sack in this year's Titans game. Are some of those snaps ST snaps? Again, not advocating him playing over Bolton, advocating him playing over Hitchens in 3 LB sets.

I’d rather watch Frankies mom run around lost on the field than Niemann to be Frank.

It's entirely possible that he's just not going to telegraph what they're going to do, what with a game coming up and all.

I hate agreeing with you, but Chief fan ignores this completely in favor of sharpening their pitchforks and adding gas to the torches.

Spags has done a wonderful job for this team the last two seasons and now he has no idea what he is doing. OK.

I know execution falls on the players and their "want to" and playing smart etc...

But if the coaching staff isn't putting plays in proper positions to make plays, make the defense better, then that coach needs to be replaced.

From playing Ben Neimann, Dan Sorensen and now Hitchens over Bolton (remains to be seen, we'll see...), I've almost completely lost all confidence in Spags.

Unpopular opinion, but Bob Sutton's defense was much better with exception to the 2018-19 team. At least that team was able to get to the QB. This season's defense isn't particularly good at anything.

Unless there's some miracle turn-around, Spags should be replaced after this season. He probably won't be, Reid is pretty favorable/loyal to his coaching staff. I just hope it's not another DV/GRob scenario.
