I would have ran it on 2nd and 3rd down.....and if it was 4th and 1 for a TD, I might have even considered going for the win right there.

but that's me.

You're not alone. I was saying the same thing at the time. I'm betting we score a TD, and run clock if we run it 4 times. And win the game in the process. Sometimes you keep things simple.

Should have run again. Instead, they throw. Here's the problem with passing there. If nobody is open, the QB is basically forced to take a sack or throw the ball away stopping the clock. In fact, that's what happened. Mahomes gets sacked and that creates a difficult 3rd down from further away.

On 3rd down, he doesn't want an incompletion and runs the clock down and fumbles.

The smart play is to run the ball on 2nd down from the 4 yard line. If you score (God forbid) you have the lead. If you get stopped, even better. You can burn more clock.

They were so afraid to score quickly that they forgot to score at all.

Instead, the narrative is about end of 1st half. No telling how the game changes if they kick a FG before halftime. However, they could have won the game before overtime.

Also, earlier in that drive, Mahomes and Hardman both run out of bounds on 1st down. Thus stopping the clock.

Just poor management of that entire finish.
Me watching the last drive
