IMO they won't be near what is needed to bail out the defense. The schedule is brutal. I expect us to hover around .500 all year as they figure it out. IMO Mahomes keeps them in the WC hunt.

I mean at least the rest of the west...

SD - WR Allen/Williams/Guyton TE Everett RB Eckler
LV - WR Adams/Renfrow/Edwards TE Waller RB Jacobs
Den - WR Jeudy/Sutton/Patrick TE Okwuegbunam RB Williams

Vegas is good till you look at the QB.
Denver has a good QB and a couple of receivers
SD is probably the most complete team in the division.

But I'd take Kelce over any of those TE and Mahomes obvs
JSS over Williams/Renfrow/Sutton
Hardman/MVS over Guyton/Edwards/Patrick

We lack a true #1 and a scary RB - Jones might help - but idk

Your fanbase knocks the Chiefs' roster every year while pumping up your own. Yet KC is in the conference title game at minimum every year while Denver sits below .500.

Going from Hill to anyone else is a downgrade at WR1, but if we added another name to the group above (like a Shenault), I think I'd say that WR1 has downgraded but WR 2-4 have upgraded. Will that equal more yards of offense and more first downs, in the end?

Chiefs will still win. They will just win in more diverse ways building a deeper roster.

It was an anomaly, but it was OUR anomaly. And it's this.

We'll likely have enough capital to field a decent offense. And Mahomes will certainly be good enough to keep it productive and on a winning track.

But what we lose when we lose Hill is slack in the rope.

No more

"Oh, . . . BOO HOOO!!! We're down 20 points in an important game. . . well how about [hiiiya!! Judo chop!!] - . . . 21 points in 3-4 minutes to end the half."

"Enjoy your halftime deficit you worked so hard for, suckers!!"

- - -

Now, a 20 point deficit might be enough to bury us for good most games.

So we got to hope we don't get so many of those, or even to have a game plan to get early leads instead.

It's a little more than zigging, when they thought we'd zag, . . it's a paradigm shift. So now it's our duty to be hopeful they assemble something.

Yeah idk if I buy that - erasing that 24 point deficit to the Texans was all Kelce. Sure the SB was saved by the WASP but who scored the 4 touchdowns?

MVS is even faster than Hardman. And I agree with you about exciting we just need to get these guys to have Mahomes and Kelce's eyes up to speed quicker than normal.

Didn't realize Gordon was still with us. Thought he got cut.
