Yep, pro football is pretty dang fun when the best player in the League plays for your favorite team. And in this case, the best player in the League is Pat Mahomes II and he plays for the (my favorite team, btw) Kanas City Chiefs!!

My first Chiefs game was the first year of Arrowhead at the very beginning of The Great Suck. My dad worked in the booth as a spotter, so I had lots of autographs of the fading greats, and an understanding of their achievements but no actual memories of them. I fear becoming spoiled of the greatness I have witnessed and will endeavor to see the positive, which is not always easy when you have been witness to Wiggin, Bettis, Gansz, Gunther, Haley, Crennel et al.

I’ve told my son numerous times that we as Chiefs fans will never experience a qb as good as Mahomes. The football gods were smiling on us on April 27, 2017. We are so lucky to have this guy playing for us. Enjoy it while it lasts.
