Heh, I meant the Raiders... didn't see the Patriots over there, too.

That’s funny. I really zeroed in on the Patriots for some reason.

Who would you replace Upshaw with?

Raiders legend Jerry Rice, of course.

Probably Marcus Allen or maybe Tim Brown... not well-versed enough in Raiders SB glory years, but surely their best player ever had more impact than even (if he were) the best interior offensive lineman ever?

For the AFL era Chiefs, I’d argue Bobby Bell (voted 1st team all-pro five consecutive years) over Willie Lanier. I think many people would take DT over both.

Lanier is the right pick. He anchored what is arguably the best defense in Chiefs' history. He gets it over DT because he won a Superbowl.

Lanier is a reasonable choice.

That ‘69 defense was sick. With 2 HoFers at every level.

Bobby Bell
Buck Buchanan
Curly Culp
Willie Lanier
Johnny Robinson
Emmitt Thomas

Three other players made the pro-bowl or were second-team All Pro that year:

Jim Lynch
Jerry Mays
Jim Marcellus

Only two starters never received any post season accolades, but both had very solid careers:

Aaron Brown
Jim Kearney

Bill Bellichek would agree and said as much that Bell was the best he ever saw.

TRASH!!!

I love Deacon Jones but Marshall Faulk was the first, and BEST, modern NFL RB. TOTAL BS

I'm not taking Willie Lanier over DT either.

Joe Montana over Jerry Rice as well.

Tom Brady not making the cut for the Patsies is a complete joke as well.

I think I'll go back to watching Hank Stram highlights. Feel free to join.

Well, reerun, Brady isn’t in the hall of fame so doesn’t qualify. Faulk had about 3 good seasons, DT never won shit (and by your qualifier of not even needing to be in the Hall of Fame it’s clearly Mahomes anyway), and I don’t know how you argue to greatest WR of all time beating out Montana. Go back to being in the middle of a gang bang of your uncle and sister.
