OL is fine for the most part, but I can't help but question now the idea that if we build an OL good enough that Mahomes will be able to find an open receiver. Mahomes often has 4-5 seconds or more to throw and apparently nobody is consistently getting open.

By the way, Thuney and Taylor are making a combined $52 million next year. Our WRs all combined are making around $22 million, less than half of those two. If they let go of MVS as they should they'll have about $8-9 million on the entire WR position. You can add in Kelce's $15.5 million and they are still WAY underinvested on offensive skill positions.

I know everyone loves Thuney and Taylor has been mostly solid at RT, but I can't say I'm a fan of the apparent lack of consideration for positional value. So many on here agreed that with a QB on a premium contract that sacrifices had to be made somewhere. I don't think that somewhere should be at WR. If you're going to pay big money on the OL, pay big for a LT. We have a G and RT both making elite LT money. Is KC also going to pay nearly $20 million a year for Creed on top of those two?

D Smith and Taylor can't run block, never have, and that isn't magically changing any time soon. It's not really Thuney's strength either. What's truly frustrating is seeing Creed and T Smith seemingly regress to their level, because if those two were on their game we could at least run the power stuf...oh sorry, we don't do that do we?

I grew up thinking a good offensive lineman can run block and pass block.

Not an OL expert, but I haven't been as impressed by their pass protection as most seem to be. Especially yesterday.

It's been much patchier than some will admit. I still think the WRs are the main issue, but the OL has not taken the expected step forward at OT and the IOL has regressed

By the stats the running game is league average on ypc, and we run the ball about an average amount. Pacheco individually is right at league average ypc as well. McKinnon's numbers have fallen off but he's getting few carries. Run blocking seems to be neither a strength or concern, except in short yardage where Andy doesn't seem to trust it.

I blame Chris Collinsworth. There is not another lineman in the NFL in the jackpot like Taylor is right now.

I hate Collinsworth but I can't blame him for Taylor whiffing on that Reddick sack. He's playing nowhere near his salary, and Smith is playing right to his. They're not good and part of the problem.

This is the best OL the Chiefs have had in the Mahomes era. Those guys balled out tonight outside of some penalties. Hurts was the one getting hammered.

Yeah, I'll live with the penalties for the results we're getting. The Taylor bullshit isn't even legit.
